I was looking at your pedals again. How do you like that set up? I want manual brakes anyway and the setup you've got looks really sweet. What gas pedal are you using?

Right now it just goes through the floor and ends. I haven't noticed a gas smell but I have one of them little K&N filters to put on there just in case.

For my application I need to John to make me one about two inches shorter but this just fits in this location. The best part is that no gas exited the car during the Optima event. Great design.

Hey Steve,

Pick a two week period when your car is down and send that vent/baffle back to me. I'll cut two inches (or however much you want) out of it and send it back.

Deal!

It will be down soon while we fab up a rear sway bar at the Pozzi's shop.

Quick question, I had major fuel slosh exit the filler cap on my ricks tank at the RTTH 1/8 miles drags. I was running the car with the vent system capped off. If I vent the system I'll assume without the pressure build up this should not happen, after all the cap has a negetive psi checkvalve and one would assume fuel should not leave the cap at all.

I had that problem, went to a new cap, and made sure it was tight after each fill up. I also had a fuel door installed in the neck. It helps, but does not help if you have a bad cap.

For the fuel tank vent I stuck with the stock vented cap (for now) and plumbed the vent outlet on the Rick's tank back up to the filler tube:

If need be I can reverse it in the future to a more "pro-active" vent like JP's.
