I was lucky enough to try and feather the pedal Jeff :fail: I've got some shorty Borlas and am gonna try and do a Siamese x-pipe. Tailpipes are up in the air still.
Congrats on your progress too! Thanks Ron... I love the way mine XR-1's are sounding even over the video. Raced home from work and had to watch the vid on the big monitor with the volume turned up so the sub could shake the floor. Good thing the wify wasnt home. I had to dump the exhaust before the rear end. Couldnt get them 3" pipe around the AirBar and shockwaves. I know its going to be loud but thats all part of it. |

It was really cool to be there with you when you finally heard it fire up. I was STOKED and it wasn't even my car. I think Ron was in shock. He was calm :headscratch: and relatively quiet, that's not Ron. I know he was playing it cool in front of the Ford guy. Congratulations buddy. |
Congrats Ron.
The sound of an SB2 firing is unmistakeable and never gets old to this trained ear... |

Not sure how I missed this one... I must have been on some super killer road trip with a hot rod or a race car... :poke: :mock: That couldn't have been my wedding picture! I know that because I was married in Grey wool pin stripes --- because I was the VP and partner of a New York City import firm. I didn't have room for welders in my apartment and for several years didn't even have a car!!! Cheers! http://i919.photobucket.com/albums/a...tos/file-2.jpg |
Engine sounds beastly buddy.....
And you're right.... open headers and O2 sensors don't play nice together. |

Glad that hasn't changed. :hello: |

DG,
Go easy on the man, those were the Jimmy Carter years. :bur2: BTW Greg, was any thought given to importing and exporting? ;) . |
Even most d!cks smile at their own wedding. You sir, are in a league of your own.

Restrained jubilation...

Yeah --- but I couldn't get clear title to Ron's Camaro.... can't even remember which shop it was at back then... Of course the car was only 10 years old at the time. Now the motor is that old. :smiley_smack: |

Daaamm, ouch! point taken. Hope my grand kids will enjoy this thing once there concieved:knokwood: Anyone need a car for SEMA:flashie: I will be done by then!:drowninga: Good picture Greg. |
Hey Ron
Congrats on getting the engine fired up, really sounds healthy. I heard you mention how quickly it revs up, these motors are sick. First thing I noticed when I fired mine. Must be all the light weight Ti inside. So I just re did the complete fuel system, Fast102r,nw102,ID850s, carls zl1 pump, holy crap it now revs like it has ITB's on it. Seat dyno really improved power under the curve. Im psyched for you, can't wait to hear more.- Rich |
The sound of that engine is music to my ears. Sounds mean and like it's ready to tear up the auto-x. :drive:

 |

Reminds me of Run to the Alamo..... a shop with two Mustangs unloads the cars off the trailer -- one is brand spankin' new build... a "helper" is tossed the keys and told to go down the street to fill it with gas.... The street is wet... and heavily crowned... The station is 4 blocks away. The car is upside-down in the ditch. |
Ron sorry man, late to the party. Congrats on getting that engine bay completed and the motor fired up.
