Hey Wayne - I know it bugs you, but at least you know it is the order of things. Ever since I put my plan together and really thought it through, I was questioning how the heck you pcoat/weld/finish color on these things. I even did a reality check w Frank. So when I went to pick up my car, we had to grind down the pcoat at a clean line, weld'em up, and then shoot raptor over it. We did it same day I loaded my car in the truck! So really the only thing I don't blame you for is being upset about Mikey not gettimg that done prior to departure. Just one more thing to add to the list of gripes w that guy.....

I'm sure it stings a bit. Is the car all put together and is all the body work done on the doors and front end. It could be that he didn't weld them in yet cause the subframe is properly aligned yet. There is no way to weld those in and not have to touch up either the paint or the Powder coating. You would of had to have those welded onto both the subframe and connectors, then the bottom and sub would of had to been painted together.

Since the sub frame is powder coated it would of needed to been touched up afterwards anyway. Just add it to the list of stuff that he didn't do.

Hang in there buddy. VHT makes an aerosol epoxy paint that is satin and matches PC really well. Its some nice stuff.

It will be fine. At least its at your place now. I cant believe this Mike guy.

Chad it killed me to see Greg with so many redo's that he had to fix himself.

Wayne, the really black spray cans should go out on Friday, it should match nicely after you have thoughs welded in.

:willy: :willy: :willy: :willy: I also forgot to weld on my DSE Tabs to the Frame  If I was in your shoes, I would unbolt the Frame and lift the body at least 6-8 inches. Support the car by the rockers with 2 jackstands on each corner and place a 2x6 metal plate with a Soft Towel....Make sure you support the subframe at the rear.Use plenty of painters tape to mask the Frame rails, sand down the the area your going to weld the tabs and weld them in place....Belive it or not Brake Caliper paint holds up real nice and it has that powdercoat finish.

Okay it could be worse you could be hunting for the lost brackets and calling DSE and paying for another set.

I am sure you will find a couple more things that are going to drive you crazy. The good thing is it's only a car and you have your health, family and a bunch of good friends on this BB.

In the end you have your car back and it's just a small hick up.

You didn't miss much Bry. Sorry, I was typing that quickie response from my phone. My process was mock up the sub and align perfectly as mentioned above, then pull it send out to pcoat, undercoat/paint the car, replace the sub, realign (easier the second time around), reassemble the car, weld back in and then redo the color (Raptor spray in my case) on the sub. I didn't see any other way to do it unless I sent the entire car w the welded sub to the pcoater. I have seen some guys weld in the sub and then undercoat and paint.
