You guys are killing me.:hitaxeonthehead:

I got back from my back to back trips and the reality of all the things that needed attention at the house and all the crap that was waiting for me at work hit me head on. :omg:

I unburied myself at work and was on a pretty good roll of sorting things out at home. Then last weekend as I tackled fixing the messed up grade of my side yard my trusty little bobcat let me down and started acting up on me.:bang: :bang:

It's not like these 3cyl idi engines are that difficult to figure out but I just didn't need another side project. I think I have the bobcat all sorted out now and treated her right with a full service so hopefully I'll knock out the back yard and get back to the car.

I did pick up some cool parts in NC so some updates will come eventually.

Vegas69 02-14-2014 09:39 PM

Hurry up and finish that thing before they narrow the lanes and you need a wide load escort.

Sieg 02-14-2014 09:47 PM

Bobcat needs Intro's

intocarss 02-14-2014 11:44 PM

What other cool toys do you have??

No... the problem with the Bobcat is that it has Intro's....

I feel for ya Rob. I can remember when I used to try to do it all. There's just not enough hours in a day. You have a big place - and taking care of Wilbur - and the bunnies - and the chickens - and the dog... and fencing... and the barns.

I finally gave up and came inside to watch TV. Now Gwen does all of that.

jarhead 02-15-2014 06:17 AM

I hear ya about working on the homestead, seems like the "car" is buried under circular saws, trim, and pre hung doors at my place too, kinda sucks

dont let these weenies, I mean "fellow enthusiasts" get you down" :stirthepot:

I am sure they just go out and hire a contractor to cut off a 2X4

:lmao: :lmao: :lmao: :lmao: :underchair:

Just kidding guys :waveflag:

The good news for Rob is that he won't have to fix the roof on the barn -- he's storing a years worth of hay in the trunk of the Torino.

57hemicuda 02-15-2014 07:07 AM

Don't give him any ideas Greg, next thing you know he'll be starting a Ranchero thread.

No problem Good Ron..

There's a couple of 'drivers' in Cali.

glassman 02-15-2014 08:26 AM

Personally, i think Bobcats are just as bada$$ as some off our rides, super fun to drive while being in a cage....:topic:

Progress:headscratch:

http://i291.photobucket.com/albums/l...ps1931c6b6.jpg

I did take three laps on the Fab53 course and dropped my time to 35.2

A 31.6 is attainable but it takes serious commitment.

Hey that is BCs carnage. He did it on his practice lap and then set the all time low. After which he manned up and went back to fabricating. No whining at Fab53. There are rules.

I'm only 9 seconds below Bad Rons time. BC has him beat by another 3.5.:popcorn2:

Wheels are being built but waiting on tires now. I'm taking next week off work to show you what it's like to make actual progress on a project... Stretch goal is to take it to Dallas to the Street car event. When's your first event planned ????:twak:

I knew the moto course would be just the latest reason for little to no progress. Doh. :twak:

Man am I glad you're a regular poster in Dave's thread! I really dig this project. I had a '68 GT back in 1992-1993. Pulled it out of a field a plopped a 351C in it. Never got it to run right and was broke as an. MF so I sold it after a year or so, but I've always been super fond of these things. Nice job!

Thanks, one day it will run.:D

Worse than that, I drove cross country with Dave. :underchair:

I see you are a fellow shifter Kart guy. I bet you miss the AIX stuff.

When are you going to start a build thread on your new 68?
