Well -- this is one of the shows on my bucket list and one of the reasons I've been toying with stepping up my game and getting a living quarters gooseneck trailer. Rodger @ Ironworks has been trying to talk me into doing this and a show the week (?) before - then stopping at Recovery Room in between. So you just might get to look at it. I have to see if my wife will let me out of the house that long. LOL

I hope you get to check that off the bucket list this year because I'm not sure how much longer I'm going to be in Columbus. Too cold here. Next year, I might be making the trip here like you! :D

So here is something even I've never had done before.... the building of the medallions that we're going to use on the headlight spreader bar -- and one back between the exhaust tips - and a smaller version inset in the console.

They made one up from wood or something - then scanned it - then had the plastic versions made by one of those newfangled modeling machines that make stuff via layers of plastic. Pretty dang cool stuff if you ask me!

Now they'll be cast in Stainless Steel.

I have no idea what this process costs... so don't even ask... 'cause I don't want to know! :rofl:

Seriously though -- thanks -- but really we owe this little design detail to the designer of the heater and the headlights. The heater choice was first -- and it had this art deco detail on it - then Steve F. digs through his GIANT pile of collectibles and comes up with a pair of headlights with the same detail on them. We just STOLE that design and carried it around for a couple of tie-ins.

I might have to re-name the car "Erte"....

Those look great! 3D printing is pretty awesome. It seems to be pretty popular here in Columbus. I've been toying with ideas for some small parts to take advantage.
