I remember back when DG was building a car and his thread had SB2 heads and and little carbs and stuff posted on it. I know it's been forever but it seems like yesterday. ......
He should probably just buy a late model Mustang like Matt. so he has a running car:_paranoid  |

I'm getting my team in place now. Rich Bermea @ Road Touring Customs is the General Contractor/Builder. Jake Parrott @ Jake's Rod Shop is Chief Chassis and Suspension Tuning Officer Brett Campbell @ Fab53 is my Special Projects and Skunkworks Specialist. I think it's a pretty sweet team if I do say so myself. :unibrow: :lateral: |

No team CFO? :D

You could have Chad Knaus for a crew chief and Mario Andretti for a coach. If the dog won't hunt, it doesn't matter. :D

True - but mine is actually being worked on..... Motor is at Odo's place now. In fact, you should go over and see it for me. :D |
I still think these are great awning colors...
DG, can I powerwash that sky blue color out of my siding? http://i87.photobucket.com/albums/k1...ps8d7fddce.jpg |

Dub. Flash will appreciate your help in keeping this thread on its course when he returns from attempting to dominate his Do Jo with Mr. Pitt's racket. |
Well --- The good Doctor came up with some pretty good plates - but he skipped the correct one:
Whipped :woot: Frankly -- for those of you that haven't met Susan... so sorry - 'cause she's a keeper. |

We got some real updates here. But I am sure it will get derailed in about 4 minutes. :captain:
Got the AP brakes in my possession. Thanks to Mary P for dropping them off, and thanks James Shipka for the nice pedigree going on my car. :unibrow: http://i236.photobucket.com/albums/ff245/flash68/ap.jpg Watson took the pan and filter off and saw some metal in the filter so they wanna take it all apart and clean it really good and fix a couple nicks and things. They don't think anything big is wrong but don't wanna throw it up on their dyno without knowing what's what. I can appreciate that and agree. Best guess is a lifter broke previously and was just not cleaned out that well afterward. http://i236.photobucket.com/albums/f...8/photo-24.jpg some nicks in the crank and back of piston http://i236.photobucket.com/albums/f...8/photo2-7.jpg http://i236.photobucket.com/albums/f...8/photo3-7.jpg Finalized front suspension details and the Billstein shocks and Hypercoil springs with Jake and that are on its way in the coming weeks. Going with his custom wider control arms for extended track width. Like on Shipka's OLC, we are aiming for a square track width or even slightly wider in front (.5 to 1"). |
Nice!
 |
Even w the issues, motor looks real good! I'll bet Watson has it put back together in no time

I promise to kinda try and be a non-laugher and only comment on the excellent tech you have provided free of charge...low these many years. |
Hmm you didn't tell me you pulled a main cap, or two. :_paranoid I'm guessing the look of the bearing made Mike feel good about the build. That and the Callies cast into the arm of the crank.:D
|
I don't like the look of the piston skirt in picture three. Have them tear it down and blueprint it.

End play was normal. Needs a new Jesel belt. The bearings looked pretty good. Mike had to leave early for his 38th anniversary dinner or woulda pulled the VC's and inspected further. Next week. |
