What about building a pro tourer from a bone stock average condition 1st gen Camaro or a 68-72 Nova?

Even 10 years later, I don't care who you are... you can still build a super nice car for $80K. If you can't, you're getting ripped off.

That said 100k wont touch most high end cars even with the owner doing most the work. Unless you'rer buying it complette or near complete.

Man. This is THE dilemma that faces most of us. The fine line between building something of your dreams, keep from breaking the bank, and not getting divorced. I am personally looking for a divorce sale to keep from being a divorce sale.

You guys got me wrong.
I simply asked what does it cost to build a cool 69 Camaro or a Nova in the States lately.
I don't want to buy anything. My 72 widebody Nova is getting ready.
I would like to compare the costs over there and here in europe.
I have to pay a lot more on parts getting over here but maybe I save on labour.
A simple comparison nothing more.
A lot of you guys feel adequate to build the car for yourself and a lot of you guys pay for shops to build. Way different numbers. So how about these numbers?

There is no answer to this question. How much does a bag of groceries cost? That's right, what's in the bag?

Let me restate that then Donny. LOL!! I personally know of one shop that still charges $65/hour that can do it. Not many shops still charge that. Most are $85/hour and some are $100/hour.
