Too bad it was not a $100 bill blocking one of those holes.

Getting greasy huh. Might as well go get you a cherry picker and put it on the stand. If it's locked up you not going to find it until the main and rod caps come off. I have one you can borrow if you need it.

Yeah, having a little fun. A stand is the way to go. I'll take you up on that offer to borrow the cherry picker once I get the stand. Thanks!

Not sure what the dime was doing in there. Anyone ever seen this before?

Could be that it was used to block the exhaust crossover. But then you would find one more. The other one maybe caused the havoc if it fell down on the rotating parts.

Well now I know what that crossover is for. lol Only found the one so far. Off to buy some tools to get at the accessory dive. Once that's all off I'll pull it for the remainder of the tear down.

It's a bummer regardless, but if it's from a dime that would make it a little worse.

I bought my stand from Harbor Freight. Good up to 2000 lbs and is a 4 point. It was under $100 bucks. Probably not the best quality but my fully dressed big block has been setting on it for months. It would laugh at that little mouse. I would be suprised if a dime caused your problem. Especially since you were out of coolant.
