Nice dude, she's coming along.
So what motor is going in? I know you said LSX FI around 750 hp??
Sounds like a monster. Is it a 427/454? Keep up the great work man!!!

thanks!

as for the motor, the significant amount of work, chassis, custom front end, bodywork, wheels, interior, paint ect is going to leave me pretty low on cash, so for the first summer I'm going to run around with a cammed 6.0, bolt ons ect. Then the following winter I'll have the trans built and the motor built, I'm thinking turbo setup but I may settle for a d1sc, 402 I'm thinking about but still that is all up in the air due to the fact I have a lot more on my mind right now. I just can't wait to get the cab on and start building the body from there, it'll still be a silverado, but with some touches GM should have put into production.

Cut and drilled some plates to mount to the engine for the engine side of the mount

http://i83.photobucket.com/albums/j3...o/HPIM1157.jpg
Started to cut the tubing for the frame side of the mounts, and notching it

Laid them out, trimmed where needed and tac'd them in place

Welded up the motor plates solid, ran the piece across to prevent movement in the spacing

http://i83.photobucket.com/albums/j3...o/HPIM1193.jpg
http://i83.photobucket.com/albums/j3...o/HPIM1196.jpg
I plan to gusset between the two plates and on the sides before I powdercoat them
Since everything was tac'd I yanked the motor with my new motor hoist, bout time I bought one, I was sick of borrowing tools, "ask to borrow once, that's fine, twice, you should think about buying one, three times don't even ask"

Welded the mounts up solid

Put the motor plates back on

Put the bushings back in

This is my temporary trans x-member set at the right height an all, just ran out of material for my permanent one, the motor sits so the tailshaft is at a downward slope of 3*
http://i83.photobucket.com/albums/j3...o/HPIM1214.jpg
Bombed the 4.8 to look better in pics  and put it back in for the week
http://i83.photobucket.com/albums/j3...o/HPIM1218.jpg
http://i83.photobucket.com/albums/j3...o/HPIM1219.jpg
The motor was moved up slightly 1.5" and back about 1" I wanted to get it lower back couldn't do so without compromising too much. This should be fine though.

Nice build! Where are you constructing this? Home or work or friend's house? It looks like your camera is a little like mine, blurry a lot!
