Great job Jake! Down on power? Yes....but think what paint and a nice coat of wax would do!! ;)

Wait I was just sifting threw pics from the weekend....Jake, did you paint your car??

Nice finally meeting you Jake. Jake is a nice guy with a Killer car for those that haven't met him.

As for Jackass..Yes Stielow is a great driver and could have been competitive in his Solstice but what just happened is we ran a brand new car that the only sorting we had done was friday and we were changing rear springs in the rain Friday night in the Hotel parking lot. Anyone that has ever put together a new car knows of all the sorting that has to be done. It absolutely hauls ass. It stops on a dime. It didn't over heat. It didn't starve for fuel in the turns etc. I'm your average open track driver. I don't have a comp license. I think Bill told me I finished third in open track for the Non DSE, air ride etc cars. The car ran and ran. Yes I have a ton of money in it and you could call it a high dollar build but it is a car that is going to get driven. We still have sorting to do. It only has a 7/8" swaybar that we confirmed this weekend is too small. AME was already sending us a larger one but we had to leave for the event before it arrived.

Autocross we are not set up for at all. It was very well run but doing a whole event in first gear is not my cup of tea.

I'm still in Awe of how well the People at Lane Automotive treated all of us. All the sponsors of this event deserve your business. This was a event for the people that frequent Lateral-g.net and Pro-touring.com. I think they will do another one next year and you should go if you can.

A first class event for sure. I look forward to doing it next year, only I will be working on the car less and driving more.

Many thanks to Bill Howell, Steve Chryssos, the SCCA group and the folks at Lane for all their hard work. I apologize if I neglected mentioning anyone.

Charlie, that is great to hear how reliable the car is from the git go.

Do you have another track events your planning to run JA in?

Besides what you mentioned, do you have any other mods planned for the car?

Hey - Thanks for a proper answer. OMG - that car is amazing! :wow: Probably the coolest Camaro of all time. I wasn't going to go to Columbus this year - but if it's going to be there - I've simply got to go.

Thanks again for the link.

Dale

I gave you a proper answer... You asked what he built, I gave you the name. Take a moment and use the " SEARCH " button and look for it... Do I need to go in depth for you and explain how to use that feature of these forums?

everyone keeps refering to this car as a Mark S. car, but isn't it a Charlie car that Mark just over saw the build on since it was in MI.

I love the competition, aspect of this. Looks like Penny has some stiff competiton this time.
