As usual, great work guys. Looks killer.

With all of the killer work on this car, everyone is concerned with the VIN tag?? Really??? When was the last time anyone got pulled over and then had to pop the hood to inspect the VIN/trim tag? (That was a rhetorical question. Please do not hi-jack this thread with examples to prove me wrong!:D )

Thanks Heidts, Glad not to be in trouble with you, now I just have to work on Phil but that will be a uphill battle. One question for you? On the Speedway swaybar we noticed yesterday that it had rubber bushings as in the past they were copper or delrin. Is there an advantage or disadvantage to that?

Travis where at you at with your project? Are you putting a chassis under it?
I almost felt it was a no brainer once I started weighting the pros and cons.

Should be urethane not rubber. We are looking into delrin. The delrin will be more responsive than the urethane, but alittle more noisy (big deal) Urethane helps with the vibration causing less noise.

We are sure that this car didn't have a trim tag... I hope I don't go to jail over this. I don't know if they even had trim tags in 62. I guess I'm on Phil's good side again!!!!!:hail:

Wow I guess I should just look and drool with my little yellow helmet on in the back of the bus. Who cares what questions get ask, does it offend you? Are we all suppose to just say how awesome the build is and not ask anything?

Well Mister I can tell for a fact that I had the texas taskforce come into the shop and pull 2 car out and inpound them that was a year ago one was just back from paint and the other was just started. I will not remove a vin number from a car not here in texas. For the one was a bill of sale they still have the car and I had to replaced the custom car
and the do all the work he paid for.All I had to do it was not stolen impossible with no VIN. and they knew this. The car will be destroy.

Sorry for starting the drama. It was meant as a funny, sarcastic comment that I guess was taken out of context. I'm not telling anyone what they can or can't do. My bad guys, now back to the build....

No drama just Fun:rofl:

Hey no problem. I wish my Nova looked that good in bare metal.

RPM HOTRODS 01-06-2010 03:02 PM

Well I'm going to post more pictures later tonight about the car and Maybe I'll start a post in open discussion about vin tags!!!! I started to bag the vin tags and trim tags for the cars we work on and safety wire tie them to the interior quarter panel so they stay with the car. I hope we can end this on this post and move it to where it needs to be. And you can call me out anytime you want on anything we do. I understand we all have different ideas and visions and sometimes that helps. Thanks Guys
