Making a profit on a " badass " car is easier said than done. I have always justified spending money, and I can be cheap, tying it up. If I can come close to breaking even when it sells, then I'm happy. |
Scott --- Well said. I'm thinking that this might be the last year I watch any of it on TV... it's become boring. Way too many commercials.... and frankly - a LOT of erroneous information.
There was no - none - zip - "buzz" this year at BJ... I'm not sure if the weather played a part in that or not. And here's another observation. 2 years ago - I wanted to buy some pieces of the stuff that a couple outfits do - restored old gas pumps - and misc shop pieces. They're top notch - and they get top notch prices. Most of them where sold on the FIRST DAY of BJ... so I was out of luck on a couple things I would have bought. THIS YEAR --- I'm looking at the stuff SATURDAY afternoon - and very little was tagged SOLD.... most of it's going to go home with the vendor. HUGE DIFFERENCE.... just HUGE. Ditto most of the "art". In years past - you had to be pretty fast and not drool too long or the piece you wanted was gone... this year - you could still buy all of it - anything you wanted - and barter on the price too! |

I actually watch about 10 hours in 15 minutes. |

That's how we watch it. Just hold fast forward. But you have to be careful. It's easy to completely miss the 3 seconds of coverage they give some cars. |

I would litterally be like two cars and then commercials. One time I swear it was ONE CAR before the next commercial break. DVR is the ONLY way to watch this. |
