stretching out the cab really helps it look better to me. I've always thought these trucks were too tall and not laid out enough.
Thanks for sharing the picture Rodger. You guys are doing great. |

"That Miter cut stuff is pretty easy".......Wow!! Maybe for you!!!:) Great work guys-I'm butt-deep in my first tube frame car,a 65 Nova. It's been on my chassis jig for 14 months now and I only have from the rear panel to the firewall done. I do get a ton of inspiration and ideas from looking at what Ironworks and the other builders (pros and garage guys like me) post up here. Keep the pics coming-that pickup is wicked!!

GREAT STUFF RODGER!!!:wow:
WOW, very nice work. Love the cage on the 4 wheeler. Nice job. The truck is going to look killer as well. Can't wait to see it completed. What's in store for the "power plant"? |
Very nice cage on the Teryx. We did one not too long ago for a friend, more recreational though, he wanted the dump bed to even still work. Those things are fun in the sand, but the stock cages are scary.

That looks like a good time!...

Time for another update. We are full speed ahead trying to get some stuff ready for Del Mar and the Goodguys Road tour stop with Gm Performance parts buying lunch on April 7th from 11am -1pm.
We have been working pretty fast on Franks 48 truck. Most of the major sheetmetal work has been done on the cab, the chop, section and lengthening of the cab. The Hagan Hinges have all been installed. We are working on fitting the door structure and installing power windows and latches before we roll new door skins. The chassis has Engine and trans mounts, Exhaust over the rear axle, the frame kick ups for the desired ride height all installed. We are waiting for the Schott wheels. Our plan to have this as a metal finished Truck at NSRA Bakersfield is still the plan. We were thinking Del Mar might happen and it might but we will see. http://i616.photobucket.com/albums/t...rch2010162.jpg http://i616.photobucket.com/albums/t...rch2010065.jpg http://i616.photobucket.com/albums/t...rch2010064.jpg http://i616.photobucket.com/albums/t...rch2010045.jpg We got the R1 Engine in the Rhino. And the long travel is all welded up. http://i616.photobucket.com/albums/t...rch2010170.jpg http://i616.photobucket.com/albums/t...rch2010134.jpg The Tri-5 chassis is coming along very nicely. The response I had on this site from the chassis spread like wildfire across the internet. I had hoped I might find 3 guys in a few weeks to test the chassis. I ended up with a waiting list and people wanting to leave deposits on a chassis. INSANE. I guess Eric and I's brains storm might just work. http://i616.photobucket.com/albums/t...rch2010152.jpg http://i616.photobucket.com/albums/t...rch2010157.jpg http://i616.photobucket.com/albums/t...rch2010177.jpg http://i616.photobucket.com/albums/t...rch2010175.jpg Thanks |
Looking awesome Rodger!
