I think that the reviewing companies and people you have done business with is a good idea. I'm sure you can more richer with that. :)

I'm new here but not new to forums. I recommend reading if you are looking for someone to buy parts from. I made my first purchase through this board a couple of weeks ago. The vendor, I believe is a stand up guy here. Do I have my parts? No. did he tell me up front that they were not available? Yes. Would I bash him? Not at this point. I deal with suppliers on a daily basis begging for them to ship parts. Be honest with me and I can deal with it. Lie to me, and I'll pull parts from you quicker than you can see straight.
Like I said, do your homework, read and talk to others. Is every purchase going to work out perfect? Probably not. Should you start this new section or rating system? I wouldn't. Thanks, HEEP |
i am also new to this site but not to forums.when i started my build 3 years ago i researched [thought i researched] the main shops i was going to deal with.i ordered everything and was promised parts in 3-6 months.one of my main parts turned into 2 1/2 years.this almost ruined my build.everything turned out in the long run and now is only a few months from being completed.

hit the wrong key before i finished.
i don't think this will work either, but someone behind the scenes might help others in the long run saving them money and time.i don't like talking bad about others because i have been in business for 27 years and i can't make everyone happy. so open public reviews would be hard to do.someone might get upset over something small with a vendor and someone else could be spending 10-30k with someone.too many variances. just my opinion just wish someone had the right answers to solve a lot of problems for others in the future. greg |
