Eeeeek. I hope he doesn't refuse the return since you did this.

If that doesn't help you can always cut, re contour the hood and re resin so it matches the fender contour. I've had to do that to a couple hoods.

I don't think Tracy would do that (refuse return after doing something he suggested). He was the one to blame the hood, rather than the fenders.

Anyway, after hours in the sun with 250 lbs (125 per side) flattening it, the hood profile remains unchanged. The experiment made no difference.

yup. same deal with my buddies hood. He ended up cutting it and making it fit. He left weight on it for weeks before that

Not much you can do once the resin sets. We had the same issue with hood we had too. Most likely what they made the mold off of. Then again I'm sure he has more than one mold.
