I love this build. Any updates Phil?

It has been a while since I posted anything on this build, but we have been back on it making some progress and thought it was time to share some updates. There are more pictures on our web site if interested.
The 430 cu/in SBC showed up from Nelson Racing Engines earlier this fall and made quite a splash in the shop. It is a pretty insane piece of machinery and should look just right under the hood of this 2nd Gen. http://i563.photobucket.com/albums/s...cture20256.jpg http://i563.photobucket.com/albums/s...cture20251.jpg http://i563.photobucket.com/albums/s...cture20249.jpg |
Wow! Very nice work on the turbo setup.

Once we had the motor and were able to determine where it needed to go in the chassis to have room for the turbos and everything to clear, we were able to continue on the floors, firewall, etc...
http://i563.photobucket.com/albums/s...ture220192.jpg The fire wall is relatively simple in this car as we felt the motor should do most of the talking. http://i563.photobucket.com/albums/s...ture220345.jpg Fabbed up a transmount with integrated exhaust ports. The plan is to run the exhaust directly under the driveshaft to minimaze the space it will take up in the car, and not have anything hanging below the car at the same time. http://i563.photobucket.com/albums/s...ture219595.jpg We made the exhaust ports split apart to eliminate an extra set of exhaust flanges and make the exhaust easier to drop out of the car if needed. http://i563.photobucket.com/albums/s...ture219587.jpg Exhaust in place http://i563.photobucket.com/albums/s...ture219663.jpg |
Then fabbed the trans tunnel and drive shaft tunnel around everything.
