Time to bring back to top with another update with where I left off. accelerator pedal was mocked up and installed and studs were welded to firewall to mount vintage air unit
http://i1309.photobucket.com/albums/...ps136b0b73.jpg firewall was then prepped and painted http://i1309.photobucket.com/albums/...ps4cd38446.jpg http://i1309.photobucket.com/albums/...psee7acad2.jpg quicky color sand and reundercoat floor to cover previous overspray and touchup where sub frame connectors were added. http://i1309.photobucket.com/albums/...ps00d20387.jpg http://i1309.photobucket.com/albums/...ps736dd90c.jpg http://i1309.photobucket.com/albums/...psf745de21.jpg |
subframe cleaned up and reinstalled
http://i1309.photobucket.com/albums/...ps2ad27492.jpg with outside fixed moved to interior. rear package tray area was yellow and really need to be gray so we rehot the gloss dash matte and fixed the rear. http://i1309.photobucket.com/albums/...ps5279f794.jpg http://i1309.photobucket.com/albums/...psdfb0542d.jpg http://i1309.photobucket.com/albums/...psb2900d14.jpg http://i1309.photobucket.com/albums/...pse661a91e.jpg |
This is how the mount was installed when it showed up. Mind you Tony PAID to have all this work completed and final installed before it came to my shop. See anything wrong?????:headscratch:

Great work as always Mike....

Progress continues. Got the engine mounts flipped back over where they belong, all high strength hardware installed, only to find out now the Autokraft pan won't clear the rack. Call Heidt's and say to use 4th gen pan. Those dont exist used anymore so a new one ordered up, installed, and we now have the clearance we need again.
http://i1309.photobucket.com/albums/...ps9c08fe65.jpg While waiting on the pan to come in, started assembling the core support after it was repainted charcoal to match the car. http://i1309.photobucket.com/albums/...psdeafa4fb.jpg Using the factory hardline kit, I rebent the high pressure line to reroute behind fender. http://i1309.photobucket.com/albums/...ps0229c62d.jpg This is next on my list to fix.... http://i1309.photobucket.com/albums/...psf13a5b4b.jpg |
Looking good Tony. Sucks to have to repay to have work redone, but there's no greater satisfaction than knowing it's getting done right this time. With that in mind, it makes it worth it to repay, huh? Great work and looks awesome Mike!!:headspin: :headspin:

Time for next installment. Referring back to the last pic I posted, all the flex line was not going to cut it for the brakes. After removing all the flex, I relocated the wilwood prop valve to a more suitable location and fabricated a new bracket to hold it.
http://i1309.photobucket.com/albums/...pse38ded21.jpg This unsightly mess of fittings was removed, proper fittings installed for a cleaner look for the new hard lines to attach to. http://i1309.photobucket.com/albums/...ps65522174.jpg new rear lines were fabbed to tie into the existing hardline http://i1309.photobucket.com/albums/...psd1c813c7.jpg http://i1309.photobucket.com/albums/...psb46897e4.jpg |
