I had Spintech Sportsman XL's on my last Camaro and they were too quiet for me. But I like em real loud.

What?

Just out of curiosity, why is this?

Because they flow reasonably well and are quiet. I run stock GM f-body system on my car and it's nice and quiet. I must be getting old...I enjoy my car so much more now that it's quiet. I like to drive hard on the street and I don't like to announce it to everybody:unibrow:

Do not, I repeat, do not take this guys advice on mufflers unless you like open headers on your daily driver. Ha ha

No, I mean, like, why are the "turbo" style quieter?

Mufflers?

Ill be running dynomax bullets. and that's about it. Or a centered nascar style boom tube.

they snake through the muffler casing passing the glass insulation the whole time as opposed to chambered styles where its got no insulation or ones like the xr1s where they do have a insulation but its straight through design.

I am ready to pull the trigger on Stainless works mufflers but the Flowmaster 40's make me pause.

I am running Hooker Aerochamber mufflers on the Camaro and love them. They have that crisp chambered muffler sound but almost a straight thru design. They are pretty mellow at cruise rpm's but rip when the skinny pedal is pushed...

I took a long look at those Aerochambers... the internals look interesting.. and I've heard them on an LT1 Malibu and they sounded amazing...

Would love to hear more feedback from others running them...

I need to take a video of the 455 Pontiac with Magnaflow, sounds great. The 480hp crate LS3 with DSE headers was just plain nasty sounding when you stepped on it.

OKay. hurry up with the video!! You've got plenty of time on your hands.. LOL
