Thanks! I wish I had more of them.... Its cool to look back on now after 2 decades of owning it. Didn't think I would have it this long. Or that it would have taken this long to get it to this point.

Chris, its your car. Do what you like. That's the DNA of the hobby. Individualism. It's about what you like, not us. I would never ask for somebody else's opinion for my rides. If someone doesn't like what you've done, oh well.
I build my stuff for me. Shoot, you'd have to build a 69 camaro to make most of the world happy. Oops, did I just say that?

Chris, I may get the :snapout: or the :lostmarbles: or the :buttkick: for this one, but I'm a bit different as you can see. Probably the :shakehead: and even the :badidea:. LOL!! But, I got rid of my door locks. My point exactly was the same as yours, the car will never be out of my sight. I say get rid of the locks. :underchair: Not out of a necessity, but because you asked and you contemplated it and I like the look of it personally. I'm not too much of a total shaved door handle guy, but like the subtle change of just the shaved locks. That may not make alot of sense to some, but it's just me. Here's a pic of my door without the locks and Kindigit door handles. Also, if your pics keep disappearing, it's probably because you edited or changed something with the pics you linked from you account to Lat-g. Once you edit or change something within your account, it won't tranfer over to where you shared the link and posted the pic. Therefore, it deletes the pic. Your account usually prompts and tells you your shared links will be deleted or lost. Thanks for the pics, engine bay close-out panels look nice.

You won't get any :snapout: :buttkick: :catfight: for you input. I am sure that I will think it over several times before the welder gets turned back on. I am just making sure I do everything I can the first time on this car. Trends/styles change. I am using Ring Bros handles and the locks will look good either way. Thanks for the input. I do like your handles. I have yet to see them in person.

I understand what your saying, I do ask opinions just to guide me. I have a tendency to over think things and get "lost" sometimes. Plus I can't seem to keep up with the changes in the aftermarket, where someone may know something that is a better idea than what I had originally. I already have a car that has no locks and like it. Just not sure I want to do it again or not. It is more about aesthetics than anything.
Thanks for the props. And yes you just said that..... The 69 camaro guys have you in the cross-hairs! LOL

I'm definitely not hatin on 69 camaros. I've seen a few that really stood out to me. I love what can be done to them, and what's available in aftermarket support.

 :grouphug: I like them too. I had one that was a project that I let go. There are so many out there, you can buy a decent one to start with any more, then add your twist to it.

Figured I would throw up a couple of updates since it has been a while. Life has been a little bit crazy lately. It is amazing how time flies, I cant beleive the year is coming to a close. I have a feeling that it's not going to slow down either...

The chassis in now painted and going together. It is almost a shame to cover it with a body!! This thing is a work of art

Some of the work is done on the inside to seal it up

I definately think I have :bigun2: the $h!t out of any budget I thought I was going to have with this car..... I may have to sell the El Camino to sleep at night....

Che70velle 09-23-2013 07:34 PM

Looks great! I got a good laugh about your "budget" comment. I'd love to see a poll on here to see how many have stayed within the so called "budget" that you speak of.
