And by the way who won? The last I heard the lingenfelter camaro had the fastest time on the road course.

Gotta tell you guys --- I don't know what the plans are -- or what the USCA game plan is -- but these events are put on for "US", and "US" don't seem to be supporting what is one hell of a fantastic series.

I went to two of them just to check 'em out and help a couple buddies have some fun... and this is an amazing chance for most of you guys - and you're not taking advantage of what's been handed to you.

No way they can put these shows on for 50 or 60 cars... PEOPLE BETTER START STEPPING UP AND SUPPORTING IT. If I had cars that qualified I'd be all over it. Great tracks - great people running it - just first class all the way.

I'm with you Greg. Sadly, I couldn't make the DFW event due to prior plans. I really tried to get away to drive the 16 or so hours to this one, but instead I've been working all weekend. :(

I hope I'm going to be able to make one of them this year!

Pretty sure Mike Johnson is his C6 Z06 won the overall. Danny Popp was fastest in the road course.

We left 4 hours before the awards portion trying to get a jump in our 22+ hour drive...still in Kentucky ugh, been driving for 14 hours now.:confused59:

I'm with what Greg said. No way these will continue without support. That's why I made sure I went this year. Might not get these chances again ever. I'll be at MIS as well since its close to home. Is it expensive? Heck yes. Was it worth it? HELL YES!

I was nervous as a wh@πe in church after the driver's meeting... but thanks to Jet Hot for getting instructors for us to ride along. I took advantage of them and was immediately calmed by him and his confidence in me. Heck even Kyle Tucker had an instructor... after a few laps he politely asked to get out of his car, lol. Kyle was driving the 70 hard!

I got as many runs in speed stop and autox as I wanted. 26 passes in the autox actually. Could've went many more but it was blistering hot out. I couldn't take anymore.

The event as a whole was very well run and for the most part stuck to the schedule. It was a memorable weekend for us, something I never imagined I'd get to do in my own car. After I get some videos and pictures uploaded, I'll post up a link.

Mike Johnson won the overall in the under 3,000 lb class, fastest overall in the auto-x and speed stop.

Kyle Tucker won the overall in the over 3,000 lb class

Todd Earsley won the AWD class.

Event support

The event was incredible! I do agree we need to show more support, not many spectators at all. I am planing on participating if they bring it back to Daytona.

I'm not sure what it would take to get more participants to these events. It may be expensive to sign up initially but it is absolutely worth the money for the amount of track time you get. Hopefully spreading the good word about how much track time is actually available will help.

I was blown away with how many runs one could make on the speed stop and Autocross course. Both the car and the driver will be wore plumb out before the time expires...and then after lunch you get a whole 'nuther session at both. To enter one of these events you better have your stuff ready to run and run a LOT.

One thing I think that would help attendance and not be too intrusive would be to allow ridealongs on the autocross and speed stop portions. There isn't that much for the family and friends of the entrants to do once they've watched everyone make 20 or 30 runs at each.

I went yesterday and it was great. I will admit I was surprised how few spectators were present and even the accommodations for spectators could use some work......but that will come. As for how to get people out to the event......maybe partner with the local car dealers and get them to advertise? Maybe they would even offer to cover ride-alongs for potential buyers in their cars? Once it gets bigger, you back away from that. In addition, there was little to no advertising in the area or thru the local car clubs. If you got a couple of clubs to support the cause with a cruise and a car show, you would start to generate buzz. I think the potential to be big is there.....just have to get people out to see it. I rode with Kyle at Kissimmee and I was hooked.
