Yeah, weight is an issue. But, I bet more people like the extra room than worry about the weight like "us types". The extra room makes it stand out from the pack.

They had 2 Hellcats at Beaches cruise in at PIR on Wednesday. They had a press day with them letting the reporters take them on the track.

There's one thing nice with "build as" weight and listed power numbers. There's an easy and more chances to make it faster.

Pull the jute, eliminate a few circuits, carbon fiber hood, trunk lid, stripped down the trunk, lighter wheels, suspension tuning and you'll have a nice little weekend track car.

Too bad crash standards and NVH reduction makes these cars tall and heavy.

Good point. More weight = more weight to lose. I could stand to drop about 50lbs myself. That'll help my 0-60 times!

Dissimilar cars for sure, but for entertainment purposes, the 2015 Mustang GT weighs in at 3705 lbs., a gain of 87 lbs over the 2014 Model.

It would seem that eventually the Mopar guys will get a nice little crate engine out of this horsepower war too.
