Here are some pics of my garage project from since last fall. Finally ready to bring the Camaro home from storage to it's new stall. :) Garage is 24ft deep X 28 wide with cathedral trusses to give me 12ft over the left stall for a lift.

Heres some pics of my shop. Been working on it for a little over a year now.
Exterior shot http://img402.imageshack.us/img402/5027/img1469.jpg The shop is 50x80 with 16' sidewalls. Inside to one end I framed in a 14'x16' office, a bathroom with a shower, a utility room, and the rest is a "tool room". All of this has 8' ceilings and I built a set of steps to get up to the "loft". Somewhere along the line we decided to make this look like an old gas station so we covered the wall with galvanized corrugated steel. http://img402.imageshack.us/img402/4896/img1438.jpg http://img402.imageshack.us/img402/8397/img1441.jpg Heres a "night"shot http://img402.imageshack.us/img402/1875/img1460z.jpg And a shot from the loft, which also shows my "next" project http://img402.imageshack.us/img402/167/img1453.jpg The 70 Camaro is the next project by the way. The 89 Camaro is my sons car. http://img152.imageshack.us/img152/2865/img1443.jpg On the other side of the wall next to the hoist is a storage area the same size as the shop. http://img152.imageshack.us/img152/2919/img1464y.jpg |

I'll be in South Dakota this Summer. I'd probably drink you out of beer. lol Where are you located?
|
Todd when he runs out of beer you head for his house I am sure he has more then one stash for cold beers.
|
Todd, I'm in Sioux Falls which is in the southeast corner of the state. When are you coming up this way? Where you headed?
Brandon, I do have a BIG drain but not needed here. The flooding was/is in North Dakota over 200 miles away from here. |
I'll be in the Black Hills in July. If we decide to head over to Iowa to visit my family, I'll definitely stop by.

I have a whole "shed" (cause it ain't a shop according to my mother in law!) vacuum cleaner/air cleaner. I have a 2800 CFM Airflow Systems F90.... so think of this as 4 427's sucking thru 750 cfm Holleys at WOT... I have it rigged up to clean the "air" and also have various inlets that I can use - to, lets say - toss inside a car (a 6" flex hose) and suck up the grinding dust... less stuff flying around is less to clean up. Mine also has a spark arrestor in it... so it can handle sparks without catching fire! I had to switch out the motor from a 3 HP 3 phase to a 3 HP single phase. Bought this used from a local saw sharpening shop. The beauty of it is - it SUCKS - but returns the air back to the shop - it doesn't exhaust all my nice warm air outside in the winter. Check this bad boy out!! http://www.airflowsystems.com/products/specs/?n=f90 And you plumb it around the shop using this stuff... http://www.nordfab.com/ |
