yeah, you get a better looking wheel and more centered offset if you narrow the rear and then pick a wheel.

Also, if you have a 245 on the front you have to be concerned with going too wide from a handeling standpoint...go too wide on the rear and the car will push! And I know you like to hit the tracks!!

I agree, I'm going to narrow the rear and add the 3" to the lip of the wheel. It will definetly look better. I'm going to with a 335/35 for the rear and probably a 255/35 for the front. I have a 245/40 now.

Vinnie, before you go choping the rear, we need to make sure Forgeline can add 3" to the lip. I will write to Scott tonight and check the build sheet on the wheels to see what size outer lip you have now and make sure you can do the entire widening on the outer rim shell. The outer rim shells only come so wide, it may be that you have to go a half inch in and 2 1/2 inch out, or 1 inch in and 2 inch out. Anyway, I am writing Forgeline now. I will let you know what I find out

Yea, they were originally going to do my wheels in their "premier" lip (the reverse lip deal) but they couldn't get my offset of 6" right because they didn't make a hoop that wide.

I sorta like the old school lip better anyways but Frank is right.. check before you cut.

OK Vinnie, Here is the deal. I thought you already had 3" outer lips, and you do. The widest 18" outer rim shell is a 5", so you will have to run a 5" outer (exteend the outer 2") and change your 6" inner to a 7" inner (adding 1" to the inner making the overall wheel width 12") Which means IN THEROY, the rear needs to be narrowed 2" per side. I will talk to Jake about it before you get started. But I suggest you send the wheels to Foregeline, get them done. I have inner and outer shells reserved for you, it will take about 7 to 10 days total turn around from the time you ship them. Then get the tires / wheels mocked in the wheels wells and measure between the wheel hubs for the exact rear width.

If you need to call me
