Traveled to the rod show in Portland Oregon today and had the pleasure of meeting Tim and his son TJ(good guys to talk w/and Tims got the gift when it comes to building cars). I gotta tell you, the car and the craftmenship is absolutely amazing. Throughout our conversation, I just could not take my eyes off of it and found myself returning to there booth throughout the day for more looks and pictures. If your looking for a builder, you cannot go wrong w/these guys. It would have been nice to meet you two about a year ago. What a stance! TJ gave me the ok to post a pic, but there's no way it will do the car justice, you need to see this one in person.

rjsjea 02-17-2008 03:34 PM

This car looks better in person..........these guys have a passion for building. This is a next level build....... I havent seen the GforceCuda in person, but this car, if it turns out as planned will be on that level.:wow: :wow:

Long weekend for sure.... I smell like exhaust!! Good thing show cars aren't graded on how well they run! :faint:

Hinges - you need to get a hold of Fesler - they make very nice Billet hood hinges. Plus he's really a nice guy and a member of this board.

Got a chance too look at your ride at the show last weekend, FANTASTIC I must say. I think you guys are doing some real nice work on that Mopar, some people just cant let go of the past and hate to see new idea's form. Keep up the good work.

Is your dad using a tubing bender software?

ironworks 03-01-2008 09:50 AM

Wow, that thing looks killer, I love the bare metal look of cars, I think it shows so much more character. The stance is spot on. Do you have any pics of the interior through the side windows.

Keep up the good work.

syborg tt 03-01-2008 03:01 PM

i agree with everyone else - man i love this car

thegalli1 03-01-2008 10:52 PM

Wow.

I can't believe I just read a 22 page thread front to back.

This car is badass, and makes me feel like my project is pretty simple at this point.

Great job, I look forward to seeing further progress on this bad boy.

thanks Rodger! Stance is everything on any car, 30k or 300k. Your builds reflect that same idea/thought process and always have the right look

Couple other pics I have saved of the chassis through the side windows of the car.

abadsvt 03-04-2008 08:06 AM

That thing is sick!! So is the frame and body all one piece now, right? I see some recessed allens in the rear of the frame. Is that so you can drop the drivetrain out? Very clean setup!!

Challenger or Cuda either one -- they have alway's been my favorite car ever made.

Ok, time for a long overdue update.

Where to start...

Turbo & Exhaust Goodies from Cone Engineering and Rockford Racecraft

Thanks again to Cone Engineering for supplying the 321 S/S U-Bends, Collector & muffler components, transitions, V-Band clamps, bellows and more... I highly recommend Cone for their quality products and great customer service.

Also included in the previous picture is one of the Accufab throttle bodies.

We are working with Automotive Design Engineering on a custom intake for the Challenger. Stay Tuned...

We are using a custom width Woodward power rack and pinion and servo.

The stock harmonic balancer will be replaced by an ATI Super Damper. I will post pictures in a few days of the new damper. Another example of a vendor with great products, technical support, and customer service.

Couple drawings of the 6.1 HEMI intake designed by Bob at Automotive Design Engineering. Not a lot of room in the engine bay on this car since the chassis is built with a low ride height. We gave Bob a pretty tight height window to work with. The Dual throttle bodies will tuck nicely benath the R/T hood Can't wait for the finished product...

The intake will be fabricated in house once we receive all of the machined goodies....

Dual Throttle body intake

Bob also designed some trick T4 turbo flanges to compliment the purge welded 321 stainless headers.

WOW that is looking good. I cannot wait to see the intake when it is all done.
