Thanks guys! The car is awesome! It pulls hard and stops on a dime. The new stiffer ride is so much fun in the corners. :D

Great to see her back in action!

BTW.. what power is the new engine putting out? Just curious.

Nine Ball 04-07-2008 10:04 AM

Thanks for finishing what I started, it looks AWESOME now. No more 4x4 ride height or boring grille and bumper

Not sure yet. Going to head down to the Dyno tomorrow IF they have time. If not then it will have to wait till after the wedding which is on Thursday. I'll be sure to post the Dyno results.

skatinjay27 04-08-2008 10:11 PM

hey man no problem it was fun (sorta) working on your car...

the motor feels pretty strong and it a mild setup, plus it fired right up the first time ever.

I saw your car at the Lat-G

party during SEMA. Did you change the rims? What are you running now?

Great looking car by the way. I know you are happy to have it back on the road for those mild Vegas summers.

Dark Angel 04-09-2008 06:39 PM

He's going to be wishing he had air for the summer!!!

It's always great to see a project come together.

XcYZ 04-09-2008 08:58 PM

Kick ass!

You'll see it again this year! Same rims...though they do look a little different and a few people have commented on that. I think the new brakes make the wheels pop a bit more.

I don't care how hot it gets out here this summer, I'll still drive the car. Mainly early morning or later evening due to the heat. I need to get AC but it will have to wait at least a year.

I took the car to get my hair cut yesterday. When I walked out it was sitting by it's self and looked kind of curled up and ready to bite. I actually stopped walking and just stood there staring at it. All I could think was wow that thing looks bad ass. LMAO I am stoked to have it back on the road...new and improved.

Thanks for the well wishes. I'm very excited for today!! It's been a lot of fun running around in the Camaro and all our guests are floored at the first sight of the car. No one had any idea how it looked.

Thanks! A lot of hours went into getting it finished. Got it all done (with a lot of help) just in time for the wedding. We've had a blast running around in the car. The wedding went off with Zero problems and we couldn't be happier with the way things went down. In fact we are still celebrating.

Steve1968LS2 04-12-2008 07:31 AM

Looks really good, big improvement.

Think you need a front spoiler though :)

I've got the spoiler on it. Just hadn't gotten the hardware for it before I took those pictures. I would have waited but everyone was was wanting to see it. So I caved. I'll get a few updates in the next day or two. Our last wedding guest just left and we are wiped out. If you need me I'll be on the couch with Mrs. Oz

Spiffav8 07-30-2008 06:55 PM

Tyler pushed me to add a few pictures to the thread showing the car now that we finally have the stance where we want it. It's taken a long time to get done mainly due to my work schedule. Having a lot of fun driving around Vegas in it, but DANG it's hot here!

I think I get more use out of it than she does. lol Not sure about the blocks. I think it will still come down a little. Besides, I'm already rubbing the pipes if I'm not careful.

Todd, I see Cars and Coffee in the near future. We need to get all the 1st and 2nd gens we can. Pretty poor turn out in that department. So far it's just been Aj and I.

Looking good Curtis! Did you ever get a chance to figure out what was going on the other day when we went to Cars and Coffee?

No not yet. I'm going to re-run all the fuel lines with stainless, have ATS relocate the pump to the back of the Ricks tank. Ditch that big can style filter and replace it with an inline type. I ordered some jets for the carb and I'll be playing with that once those arrive. I have driven the car a few time since our adventure and the problem always starts when the temp hits 107. The carb is set up for 70 degrees at sea level from the factory, so that's got to be the problem. I'll know more in few days. One thing is for sure...I'm learning a lot!

How's your interior going?
