The Shop is complete for now. Paint is finished and tools are moved in. I got the car pushed in yesterday, so hopefully updates soon. This lift is going to make completing the lower sections of body work so much easier.

thats a pretty cool lift, never seen a set up like that before, how does the cost compare to like a 4 post?

There are obviously some drawbacks to this style of lift compared to a 2 post or 4 post, but I don't have much room and both of those take up too much of it. If I had built a 30X24, I would have looked into a 2 post designed to handle more weight and for transmission access. Still, I would rather have this than nothing at all. This will make working on my projects so much easier. |

Ok, I think I'm just about ready to get back to work on the Firebird. With any luck, I can make the time I need to make a real dent in the work I still need to complete. I ordered a DSE sway bar kit for it and have all the pro forged steering components in a box somewhere.
I just finished (well almost) the cover for the lift and completed my airlines this past weekend. We shall see if I can dedicate some time this weekend. Here are some pics of where the shop is now: |
Great setup, congrats! The lift will make your life a hell of a lot easier!

Long Overdue......Updates - it's been on the road since May. Still working on finishing the interior, spoiler, battery relocation, air intakes......and on and on :)
I also need to do something about the brakes. I've got 10" of vacuum - thinking about hydroboost |
Gorgeous! glad you're out enjoying the car. Have fun!

Been a while, so I went to page one and looked at the pics and then the last page. All I can say is your car looks freakin' sweet!
Great job  |
Yeah!!!
Lookin' sharp! Congrats on getting it running and driving |
Thank you all! :)

I finished the air intakes - finally....I might look into a different solution for the tubes later on, but this will work for now.

Turned out great!

Man, nice update!

Glad you're enjoying the car and continuing to tweak it. The satin blue up top is an interesting choice. I like it. I certainly would have never thought to do that. Thanks for updating us.

A few more mods - I made some cover panels, swapped out to a bigger air filter, made a hole in my inner fender, and created a heat shield over the header on the passenger side - trying to keep the IATs lower
|
That turned out great.Really like the engine bay for sure. How do you like the performance of that Torque Storm? I've been kicking around something along those lines...very cool ride
