Looks good. I'm kind of "iffy" on the engine bay and the tail lights. Never really liked them on '10 models to begin with.
Congrats on the win!!!

awr68 07-11-2010 10:36 AM

Every time I look at the pics I see more and more changes you did to this car....quite tallented builders you are!! :hail:

Steve1968LS2 07-11-2010 12:18 PM

The amount of metal-fab work on this car is pretty much insane.. I can only imagine how many hours are in it..

Cris@JCG 07-11-2010 01:01 PM

I must admit! This car looks DAMM good! Congrates..

wow, i love how this car turned out. that color on it is perfect and sets it off very nicely.

one of my favorite parts is the low back seats with the functional head rests incorporated into them.

those seats look familiar....but i can't quite put my finger on them....anyone know what they are out of?

But now I see it clearly, and knowing Roger and the Lakeside crew like I do, the metal work, paint and all other details will be masterfully accomplished. We are in the process of machining much of the one off billet components for this G machine including the Brockmeyer inspired gauge bezels,Scar script insignias and sculptured sill plates. We will be submitting pictures of these pieces when the time is right. Jeff Bertrand---J and B Microfinish

As promised here are the "Scar" detail photos of some of the work J and B Microfinish machined.

Vegas69, Ill be @ SEMA in HotRod Alley with this car, make sure to look me up. My name is Roger Burman owner of Lakeside Rods. I want to show U pics of the 1970 Camaro that we are starting to work on, that way if U hate it too I know we're on the right track. I see on the Columbus thread you were cutting down the top 5 cars cuz they didnt get to run the AutoCross because of rain, that show happens every year so bring your car and we'll see how U do.

RickM415 07-25-2010 07:52 PM

wow ,a lil violent over there lol....i guess freedom of forum speech is out the window haha

You win SMOY and you're worried about what I think? I did hate it at that point but it turned out very nice. I'm not a fan of the 2010 Camaro thus I'm not a big fan of the car still. I hope you don't think I'm attacking your craftsmanship? It's clearly very well done and the craftsmanship is top shelf. Also, I didn't put down teh top 5 due to not running the autocross. I didn't even have that info until now. I was simply saying it's a shame they won't get driven much. I tell you what, I'll meet you at SEMA to look at your new project and you meet me out in Pahrump and we'll see who can wheel their creation better and who has the bugs worked out? Deal?

phillym5 07-25-2010 11:01 PM

OOOHHHHH Snap.....
I cant wait to see this...:unibrow:

:drama:

Todd, is calling Roger out your latest plan to get into Optima this year? If so, I like your reasoning. Wish I'd thought of that first 'cause I want to go too. :unibrow:

I'd love to see 'Scar' at Spring Mountain. It may look like a piece of rolling art, but it's got all the right parts under it, and I want to know if those parts have been made to work together.

Matt

Fantastic craftsmanship. I got to check it out closely at Car Craft. I love the color.

man, you take some good pics!!!!

DOOM 07-26-2010 09:34 AM

Every time I look at this car I find a new detail!! Roger...... Its a work of art.. Well deserved for SMOY. I have to say I was not on board when I first saw this build thread , and this is why I can't even think of building a car of this caliber. I have no vision to build something like this! Can't wait to see what you have coming next Roger. Can we get a little peek:question:Hey one other thing Roger go easy on Todd he really is a cool dude. He just has strong OPINIONS... I don't think he was disrespecting your work or you car.

pokey64 07-26-2010 10:04 AM

So will the showdown be on paperview? :unibrow:

I was bummed that we couldn't see the SMOY cars run the cones in Columbus. It was still fun drooling over them though. Will Scar be at the KC GG?

Jay Hilliard 07-26-2010 10:36 AM

Congrats on SMOY! Awesome craftmanship! I hope GM designers see this. This is what the 2012 needs to look like.

Stuart Adams 07-26-2010 01:39 PM

That color of orange really looks great. Nice car.

Impressive build. Congrats on the hardware at the show. It should be fun to see the shop's interpretation of a second gen.
