Small Block??? Come on

I did hear this naturally aspirated Ardun at the La Roadster show that sounded unreal. But a Big Inch Big Block is a pretty safe bet for your listening enjoyment. That 69 Camaro you guys brought to Columbus sounded pretty bitchin with that light weight clutch and flywheel.

ironworks 02-19-2010 10:57 AM

Doug, we are doing 2 Tri Fives with custom built 540's also. Now I just need to sell that paper weight clutch in the 6 spd car....

Big Dollar unit... but its a one time investment for a street car! Next time the trans comes out of the 55 I'll probably put one in!

I believe that is in Spain. They don't have access to the quality burnout teaching tools we have here. ;)

F for location...

gforcecuda 02-20-2010 06:25 PM

the SB2 Keith Dorton built for my XLR Bonneville car was as nasty sounding as anything you ever heard..especially since it was just 9 to 1..and only 357.5 inches..I'd love for Keith to build a big inch SB2 with about 14 to 1..I guarantee you it would kill the living and raise the friggen dead..that SB2 at over 9,000 RPM is one more howling wolf..

customcam 02-20-2010 06:29 PM

Bob did you give that Special keyring of you to Doug? The car wont start without it im sure Lol :D

Thanks Tracy, you had to hear the SB2 {Keith Dorton built} that was in Bob's XXXLR! Unbelievable exhaust note...the sickest naturally aspirated engine I've ever heard!

What did you think of the top 8 and ridler winner? Since you have experience having won last year.

The Ridler Winner and The Great Eight...there were six cars that I felt could have won the Ridler this year...the competition was that close...there was no clear cut winner the minute you laid eyes on it...there were two I didn't care for...but they deserved to be in the eight!

I was pulling for Ted Thomas of T&T and Tammy Ray... Ted has been in the great eight more than a half dozen times...once before with a car Tammy owned!
Ted is a friend and I have seen him come to Detroit year after year with a killer piece [three years ago w/Mr. Gasket Joe Hrudka's old 33 Willys] only to get beat...bad timing! This year they got it done!

Congratulations to Ted, Tammy and All Involved!!!!!!!!!!!!

been down in Daytona for Bike week..The Mustang is not finished, but what he's done is cool as hell..he had it set up for a Boss 429...i want to do the car like he was going to do it but would prefer to have a SOHC in it..haven't made up my mind for sure but either would be cool in it..it has a set of his Spencer 16" 3 piece knock off magnesium wheels on it..

Doug Cooper 03-09-2010 03:35 AM

Michael, you are more than welcome...next time I have a bunch of the guys over for a garage party I will include you...email me your contact info!

Neither the B400 or the Cuda are here right now...took them to Alans a couple of weeks ago so that they would be perfect for the season.
