Yes Tony -- we discussed getting the wheels on order when I was there today.
Mark -- Trust me.... I don't care who's doing the work it will cost more and take twice as long as "everyone" planned. But I really could care less. After doing this stuff for almost 40 years... I know exactly what's what. I'm not into wasting money and I'm not doing a bunch of custom mods "just because nobody has ever done that before...." I'm just having fun getting what I want. It probably would have been easier just to build a car from scratch. We laughed about this at SEMA -- that I had just bought two frame rails and some upper and lower A arms and a body. |
Looks good Greg. Keep us posted.

I really do know I'm going about this all wrong. But it's kind of the way I do all my stuff... so why break a nice losing streak! My wife will tell you --- "every car he ever bought was PERFECT.... and then he tears 'em all apart and re-does them". She's right of course. No argument from me. |
Everybody will do that sometime if you build enuf cars:lol: Thats why swap meets were invented.....I'll get you set up for that new interior when it is done at SAR (just kidding) Had to do it.

Yeah Tim will do a great Job, but Greg wants it all out of Food grade stainless polished inside and out. Which is bought in diameters and lengths. The bends are also only a certain radius. I'm pretty sure the compnay they get the stainless from can make you a tapered pipe. Its just $$

Mine will be just a mild resto rod... for cruising around. Easy to drive... and a just for fun build. One of the reasons I didn't go hotter on the engine. |
Greg.. I like the plan... keep it simple so you can actually drive and enjoy it before 2017.
|
Dave -- That's the reason I'm not building it (or re-doing it). I want to drive it this spring!

Nice Weldification.
Looks like just a little more than a normal Ferrari service...so not bad. :D |
so your getting the coffee holders eigh? Probably a good idea since it's not a auto trans!
I think you forgot 'the killer sound system w/ NAV'! I know that's your favorite part of SEMA after all!! ;) |
Hey Greg, what's a "commercial style headlight"
Maybe it's my lack of hot-rod knowledge, but I'm envisioning flourescents with those grids over them ;) |

UPDATE:
I'm using my daily driver - as shown here - for the template on the '32.... except I fully expect the '32 to get in the air better. The caddy is heavy -- but crusin' in this bitch'n' ride is bad to da bone dude! http://i919.photobucket.com/albums/a...s/IMG_1139.jpg |
Many things could be said here, but the big guy said it best...

I think Lurch would've liked the high entry point of your 'daily driver' Greg, and might have been seen often in it terrorizing any and all on the back lots of Hollyweird.
