The TT Nelson motor is going in a 2nd Gen Camaro we have been working on. There has been quite a bit of drool around that thing on our end as well. It is just bad ass!
We also finished up all of the fixturing for our 2 new Fast Track Mustang front suspensions. I will have more info posted shortly in our Vendor Specific Thread section. Fast Track Mustang Front Subframe http://i563.photobucket.com/albums/s...gSubframe1.jpg http://i563.photobucket.com/albums/s...gSubframe3.jpg Fast Track Mustang Weld in Front Crossmember http://i563.photobucket.com/albums/s...ossmember1.jpg http://i563.photobucket.com/albums/s...ossmember2.jpg |
More info on the mustang set ups, please!
Looks awsome. Mike |

Here is another chassis that you probably won't see every day. A local shop in Milwaukee started building a custom Divco milk truck and needed a chassis. After they had the body framed out, they sent it down to us to build a custom chassis. The truck has some cool history behind it. A family dairy farm used this truck for their deliveries back in the 40's and 50's. They still had the truck and wanted to turn it in to a hot rod now. The idea is to make a luxury conversion van out of a Divco.
The only thing left from the Divco is going to be the front clip. The builder fabbed the inner structure for the rest of the vehicle that will later be skinned in aluminum. http://i563.photobucket.com/albums/s...cture20786.jpg http://i563.photobucket.com/albums/s...cture20787.jpg http://i563.photobucket.com/albums/s...cture21161.jpg http://i563.photobucket.com/albums/s...cture21157.jpg http://i563.photobucket.com/albums/s...cture21159.jpg |
A few more shots of the chassis.

We have been making a lot of progress on a few other builds in the shop. A few are below and I will be starting new threads on a few other new projects over the weekend.
The 55 Nomad is coming together and getting close to its interior date. http://i563.photobucket.com/albums/s...cture21341.jpg http://i563.photobucket.com/albums/s...cture21342.jpg http://i563.photobucket.com/albums/s...cture21345.jpg http://i563.photobucket.com/albums/s...cture21344.jpg |
We are also getting pretty close on the Nova gasser. We received most of the parts back from chrome, but are waiting for a few more and then this thing will be back on the road.
Custom throttle bracket and linkage. http://i563.photobucket.com/albums/s...cture21347.jpg http://i563.photobucket.com/albums/s...cture21346.jpg SS fuel lines routed through the gap in the intake along with the regulator. http://i563.photobucket.com/albums/s...cture21350.jpg http://i563.photobucket.com/albums/s...cture21351.jpg Also swapped the front over to Wilwoods to help make this beast stop. http://i563.photobucket.com/albums/s...cture21352.jpg And re-coated the headers to the original orange. http://i563.photobucket.com/albums/s...cture21348.jpg |
We received this 57 Caddy yesterday for us to build a custom Fast Track chassis.
http://i563.photobucket.com/albums/s...cture21291.jpg http://i563.photobucket.com/albums/s...cture21293.jpg Stainless steel roof panel http://i563.photobucket.com/albums/s...cture21295.jpg http://i563.photobucket.com/albums/s...cture21294.jpg Suicide doors http://i563.photobucket.com/albums/s...cture21296.jpg Another cool feature is that there is no center pillar. Just a unique bracket that comes up with the two latches floating in the middle of the seat. http://i563.photobucket.com/albums/s...cture21297.jpg |
Gasser's looking great. I like that center bracket for the suicide doors.I love that Nomad.
|
Man I am digging the Caddy
|
That Caddy should be a cool build. What are the plans for it besides the Fast Track chassis?
|
We just had a 57 caddy 2 door in the shop a few weeks ago and I was telling the guys how cool it would be to have a new chassis under it and a Northstar!

The Caddy is bad a$$ for sure. It will be cool to see something this big be able to handle! I don't know all of the plans for the car at this point. We are just doing the chassis end. It will be set up with Ride Tech bags and power will come from a twin turbo LS. That is all I have for details now.

The C-10 looks incredible!!!! Can't wait to see it back in action.
|
Looks awesome. Are those the wheels/tires that it will ride on?

Thanks for the pics. Odd as it may seem, this car has been an obsession of mine for a very long time and I've always viewed it as -the- car I would want to own. I'm really looking forward to this project. :) -Jim |

Twin turbo LS is the logical choice to move this much car around but I'm not sure if it's "right". I considered doing an STS-V supercharged northstar. Also maybe a 500ci LS with dual 4bbl throttle bodies and a fabricated batwing air cleaner so at a glance it looked somewhat stock. I think the best engine would be a Falconer V12 but it's been done and it's a little pricey ;) |

That is a really sweet C10. Very nice color scheme.
That Caddy is going to be pretty neat. A twin turbo LS engine is a great choice for that beast! |
A lot of changes and additions going on recently. We are just finishing some major overhauls on the web site with a few more still to come in the next week or two. We have wrapped up all of our informational videos on our Fast Track chassis and suspension systems that you can take a look at in our Roadster Shop Vendor Section We figured a video would be a bit more informative and entertaining than reading a bullet point list of features. hope everyone enjoys and finds them informative.

We are heading off to Indy for the Good Guys show in a few hours and I wanted to post a few pictures of the 57 that was just wrapped up.

Looks great, did you guys bring it to the Mundelein cruise tonight? I didn't have much time so just did a quick pass.
