Thanks! It coming together very smoothly right now! Were going to start measuring up for the radiator now. We are going to have brice thomas build the radiator for us and we are going to use one of the big cfm ford fans that we got out of a cougar. you just cant beat these radiators price and power wise! we will kind of hide it a little so it wont be too much of an eye sore!

Good to see all the progress made Tyler.

Once people learn what powertrain you're using, they sign up for a ride, right?

Thanks skip! Yeah these coyote motors are super nice! We are happy with whatever numbers we can pull out of this motor keeping it N/A as we want it to be a cruiser!

Thanks Guys!

not a whole lot happened this last week. Today we cut the front of the tunnel out a little more. Also made a template for the new firewall. we will be bending up the sheetmetal tomorrow. depending on how far we get maybe tack the new firewall in.

Got our new Turnkey Engine factory Power steering system on order this week. Should be here in about a week and a half.

(Picture from SEMA Display)

Until then we will be finishing up the firewall and rasing the tunnel ever so slightly just to be sure we have enough driveshaft clearance. When the power steering assembly comes we will mount it up and then mocking up a cardboard radiator.

Nice - I was hoping to see someone pick up the Turnkey Coyote PS setup! I'll be really interested to hear how it works out for you. I'm making plans to use one of these engines in a project I'm working on, and the PS pump issue hasn't been dealt with very well so far by the aftermarket (or Ford) IMO. Did you get their 'full' system with the KRC pump and their AC setup? I'd probably be more likely to attempt to duplicate theirs, but it's the kind of solution I've been looking for...

Yes. we will be recieving the whole system. Gotta have A/C in a Driver!

The guys at Goolsby customs are going to be putting the kit on there 71 Pegasus mustang. So i am waiting to here how they like it when they get it on. I also heard that vintage air will be coming out with one also. When i saw the turnkey setup at sema i was very impressed! Its not the cheapest route but its something that will work and has a great company behind it.

Thanks! The project is a lot farther along than we originally thought!

Today we continued to mock up the driveshaft loop and then we realiezed that the trans was about 1/2" off center so we took the mount apart, remeasured and fixed the mount. Trans is square and went back to work on the loop.

Also worked on the snowmobile a little bit today. Polished her up!

Todays Progress

The two tunnel pieces will be welded and the piece will be bolted in and be able to be taken out with 8 or so bolts.

http://i1017.photobucket.com/albums/...8/c55d9e6a.jpg

http://i1017.photobucket.com/albums/...8/df509301.jpg

Started cutting the rest of the tunnel to raise 2" just to be safe. Easier to do it now than when its done

http://i1017.photobucket.com/albums/...8/01aca5b1.jpg

http://i1017.photobucket.com/albums/...8/fb8ecf70.jpg

That is not the drive shaft that we will be using. we just cut that one for mock up. we have a new coleman racing drive shaft on order

56pickup 12-27-2011 05:04 PM

Got the next section of the tunnel done today and tacked in

http://i1017.photobucket.com/albums/...8/50907ea3.jpg

Brought the hood down from upstairs and put it on the car so we can line up the front end and work on the front radiator saddle.

http://i1017.photobucket.com/albums/...8/b5d308b3.jpg

Got the rest of the tunnel bent up tonight but didnt have a chance to take pics

Very cool build! Great lines on those cars, especially sitting right down on the ground. Can't wait to see it all together, excellent work so far.

Also cool to see more young blood in the shop - my dad I have built two, the first starting when I was 12, and I wouldn't trade the experiences for anything
