That was 90 minutes of my life posting these pics.Going to SEMA now from 5:30 to 6:53 AM. Hope you enjoy. I will post more later today.
|
Thanks Al for posting those pictures, I know how much work it is. Some great ideas shown.
|
Man, that is just sick. The bar is going so high. those cars are incredible. Wish I was there. Took a car 2 years ago and was blown away then.
|
Al, thank you for the KILLER pics! :hail: :hail: :hail: Excellent details! Probably takes 90 minutes just taking the shots and taking all the little things in!!
I am in love with these builds! The ideas make me want to lock my car inside the garage and tear it apart :D |
Al,
Thanks for the pics. Right now you're the unofficial favorite lat-g'er at SEMA. That may change of course, but right now you're definitely at the top of the leader board. :D |
Awesome pics Al. These have me even more excited to get there and check them out. This was a fantastic thread to start.
Looking forward to hooking up with you later today. |
Who built the Fairlane ? I find I am liking the trend lately of complete customization reined in by keeping as many vintage cues as possible and not over stylizing the car.
Much like the Eckerdt's Mustang GT - was that a Sema build ? If so let a 1000 photographs flourish. |

I can appreciate all the work in that rear engine mustang!
But come on guys there are at least 6 cars on this thread nicer than it! Those body lines and proportions are sooooooooo far out of place on this car. The top of the windsheild roof area is at least 5"s higher than the rest of the roof you would have thought with that much fabrication they would have spent some time at the designing desk aswell. IMO That Fairlane is off the hook nice! |
Shiny primer gray? Why oh why do that to such a cool car.

Very hard to take pictures of this car because it was so crowded at all times. This car really needs to be seen in person1

I most have over 100 pics of it |
Thanks Al for the great photos.
Believe it or not, I don't really like early Camaros that much (am I allowed on this site ?) but that black one is very very nice. Who built that ? I think its the one we saw in metal last year and it blew me away then. Well we found one guy who doesn't like the the Mustang GT40. But it looks pretty damn good to me. I'd like to see more of the interior but I can see the window was up. In fact I was so inspired by that car I've already cut both my doors in half and one of them is just about welded up already. If there is a Belvedere you like better than these cars, I am very eager to see it. And we wont' complain if some pictures of the helpful booth personnel sneak in either. |
|
Who built that black camaro in magna flows booth? Nice work.
|
By Far my favorite car of the show!!! It's neat to see the race car thyme in a world of Foosified cars. The attention to detail was noting short of amazing.

Hard to tell from the this picture but the whole roof was carbon!

I heard they were building a street car but this is way beyond what I though. I wonder if Dale Jr cruising around in his Camaros had any infuence. You have any closer shots showing the front spindle area? That shot with the mirror cracks me up....thats what them good ole boys get for leaving a nice shiney mirrow in Vegas.....razzor blade marks. LOL |
Thanks for posting up these pics. As an exhibitor I am in an hour early but still haven't had time to wander around and look at anything. I've seen more cool cars in this thread than at the actual show!
|
Al!!
Thank you, thank you and one more for good measure, thank you so much again! The pics and details are excellent and like you mentioned so hard to capture all the essence of these builds in pictures! Thank you again for this amazing experience of a lifetime! Gui |
Simply amazing, Thank you for sharing.

[QUOTE=Al Moreno;444088]Few more.....
http://i1231.photobucket.com/albums/...e/IMG_2298.jpg http://i1231.photobucket.com/albums/...e/IMG_2299.jpg Al, do you know if those heat shield blankets/banding are available for purchase anywhere or were they custom made? I need to get me some of them:thumbsup: |
You can get stainless zip ties. Not quite like those bands.
That exhaust does not look cheap. But does look VERY functional. I WANT. |
|
Yeah those exhaust heat shields look pretty similar to the ones you can buy from Summit/Jegs or anywhere else. The nice touch is the way they are hooked on the pipes, the normal ones just have little hooks where you slide through a hose clamp which works fine but doesn't look quite as ncie or elegant as these.
I'm also curious about the hod heat shielding - is that a common Nascar heat blanket ? It looks like that lava stuff so its probably very expensive but if anyone has a link to something like that let me know. Also, does anyone recognize the hood pins used on the Mach 40 ? I'd like to look into those as well ? The mach 40 has encouraged me to solve my overly large fender flare problem i in a big way. The delivery man just dropped off an extra passenger door as mine ended up being too rusty - between my other spare door and the good quality driver door and the original pass door this will be the 4th '67 Mustang door I have cut in half in less than a week. I already have the drivers door welded up and it looks good. It is really amazing how little your eye notices the difference. Really looking forward to the change in look for my car. |
