And I'm remembered in high school for parking my truck on a car in the parking lot. Yep I was the short kid with the 9 foot tall mini-truck with a blown carburated 4cylinder.

I've been out of high school for 30 year's.So I've had a long time to work my image.

You two old farts are doing great work on your respective cars :D

Scott, I recommend GA or eastern TN for relocation. I'm 1000% biased though. North Texas isn't bad either. It's just too flat for me and they still have lots of wind. TN has no state income tax  That's a big deal for me

In the meantime, keep up the great work on the Chevelle. I love it!

The other day I took an extra 15 minute's to bolt the rear suspension togather.http://i1104.photobucket.com/albums/...psacbf75ad.jpghttp://i1104.photobucket.com/albums/...ps4ea82344.jpghttp://i1104.photobucket.com/albums/...ps05a941b0.jpghttp://i1104.photobucket.com/albums/...ps0ec9ffd6.jpghttp://i1104.photobucket.com/albums/...ps82be701c.jpghttp://i1104.photobucket.com/albums/...ps490e9b46.jpgAt this rate it will take for ever to finish this thing.

What size of tubing are you using on the exhaust? Looks like about 4". That setup looks really good on the rear frame section. Are you pleased with the ABC setup?

By the way, loving this car. I've been following along seeing the little things you have added. I especially like the way you are making everything adjustable with the pins.

Very nice fab work.

Looking good Scott!

Did you have Moser turn your center registar and cap down to 2.78? If not it is at 3.06 which is a Ford center registar. Just a heads up...been there and done that.

Jay Hilliard 02-07-2013 08:37 AM

looks nice Scott (as always).

65_LS1_T56 02-07-2013 08:41 AM

How do you like my jounce bumpers Scott?? lol, Tony took them off my car to get you a set quicker  Still need to get my replacements.

Amazing how similar our chassis look out back. I too am perplexed on mounting the rear Ridetech canisters. I considered the trunk drain holes, but I'm concerned about the proximity of the exhaust tubing, kinda goes right under there. The wrap will help for sure
I'm thinking about mounting them up on the rear frame rails under the car. Should be safe there.

Do you have a notched fuel tank or did you squeeze the pipe thru?
Looks pretty awesome.

frojoe 02-07-2013 08:55 AM

Just curious what the reasoning is for adjustable (particularly with quick-pins) bump stops? Is it so that no matter what ride height setting the coilovers are mounted at, the coilovers never end up being the bumpstop at full compression?

Nice work!

Will see on canister mounting after the body mounting is complete.Fuel tank is not notched, just stuffed the tubing up in there, til it fit.

:thankyou: for the nice word's.The quick pin's on the bump stop's will make it easy to ajust or remove if need be.Won't know where they need to be until we get a chance to drive the Junk down the road.
