This is what pisses me off about carbon fiber. It's pretty. but costs an arm and a leg and it doesn't fit. A lot aftermarket parts may not, but they aren't as expensive as carbon fiber either. LOL!!

Curious what you used to bond all those saw cuts back together. I used the fiberglass version of that bumper but my standards must be lower because I was able to use it with only minor bolt relocations. I’ve got another one here for a second car. Hoping I don’t have to get that extreme. I noticed it has only two attachment bolts versus six on the earlier one.

Thanks,
Don

To be fair the rear tail panel body lines are no longer factory. I couldn't decide whether to paint or not when I purchased but obviously I decided to paint it. I will say the fit was not great on the car in stock form either though to your point.

The issue for me was the first gen F-bodys have a slight convex curve to the rear tail panel. That is hidden by the large recess in the factory bumper. The Anvil bumper doesn't have that and when you pull it in tight to the body it won't allow it since the CF bumper is rigid straight. So relief cuts to get the slight curve and reshape the backside for a deeper recess so it will suck into the body. Same with the bumper ears as we had to shorten the bumper. All that to get an end result of a bumper tight to the body but not frenched in.

I am not sure but I know they have done a lot of fiberglass work in the past. I will ask them.
This one had six attachment points as well. Four on the rear piece then one on each ear which was pieced back together again.

Cutting up the carbon fiber pieces is starting to be a trend here.

I had to give up on my carbon fiber parts . It just ''moves'' around to much . I would have everything fit perfect take it off then go to put it back on and it was like I never touched it !

Rocker panel metal work started. This is last bit of metal work left on the car. The fender piece will be made to match for that finished look.

Yes it is. It is their carbon fiber one piece spoiler they sell. The gaps were just not good enough. It would have snugged down tight with the bolts but then it was messing up the deck lid gaps. CF does not flex hardly. In addition the gap where the spoiler met the deck lid was not as tight as I would like it to be. We extended the deck lid to minimize the gap so no having that with the spoiler. So now it is a three piece spoiler with some twists.

I seem to have a habit of hacking up expensive carbon fiber pieces because I don't like the fit. I guess that is what makes a custom build vs just a bolt on build.

It will be electrical powered soft close but we are still weighing a couple ideas on execution. Will have a manual release if ever needed as well.

trunk and back seat bulkheads. The aluminum side panels are removeable while the rear bulkhead is 18ga welded in of course. A little cleanup before paint needed yet.

Great detail work! I really like the fitment of your endura bumper.......I spent hours and mine is not as nicely tucked as yours. What are you planning for final color?

Thanks. I think we are pushing past 2500 hours maybe reaching 3000 (scared to check...lol)on body work. Fortunately outside of the hood we are done with body work. The front end is so difficult to get right on the RS front end as most know. It certainly took some perseverance.

Carmen Red (Porsche) or similar was the thought but seeing a lot of red Camaro's lately make me question my choice but thus far I keep coming back to that.

Thus far I have kept this under wraps but here is the latest iteration. A couple subtle changes to what will be final but substantially this encompasses the changes since the first rendering.

The SB4 engine harness bulkhead is very large. 3”x4” basically. It looks huge on the firewall. No bueno. Others have mounted on the firewall where the OE harness/fuse block is located which IMO is unsightly. We had plenty of room in the trans tunnel where we can protect from heat but needed room for the bulkhead. Problem solved! Will be covered by the center counsel.
