Looks mean!

Nine Ball 10-04-2015 03:46 AM

Been following this build, absolutely love it. I actually would like to order a custom painted Viper ACR in battleship gray. Well done, Casey!

I just finished reading the whole thread. You've hit it out of the ballpark with this build, Casey. Plus I love the understated grey color.

slenning 10-06-2015 02:23 PM

Awesome job Casey love the color and... well everything!!
Where are you in MN? I'm in Sioux Falls, we should get together and rip up some streets or something!! lol

SlowProgress 10-26-2015 09:37 PM

This car is a beast. Love how it just kept going together at a solid pace. Looking forward to see it run somewhere.

ChuckDriver 10-27-2015 01:44 AM

Awesome build!

3_z28camaro 10-28-2015 03:00 PM

Very impressive build. I was looking through and noticed you addressed this earlier some but could you share some more details on your radiator hoses? Such as fittings on the engine and radiator as well as hoses?

Thank you

Casey....Don't take this wrong, but when I rolled into catch up on your thread and saw the pictures all I could think was "OMG that is F-ing DIRTY"! Not a term that has ever come to mind on any other car I have ever seen. It's a good thing!

Home run brother! :captain:

Thanks, the car is about 30 minutes south of St. Paul. Maybe I'll see you at a show next summer...

Contact Billy at B&B classics, he can get you set up with everything you need. I used Earls -20 hose and fittings top and bottom. The fittings on the water pump are from Custom Built Motors. The radiator is from Auto Rad which I ordered through Billy. Autorad will custom build the radiator and weld on the -20 fittings.

There are still a lot of little things to finish, adjust and tweak but the car is almost complete. I don't think it will ever be completely finished. I drove it down the road once but haven't been able to put any miles on it yet because of an idling issue which will hopefully be resolved soon so I can put some miles on the car before winter here in Minnesota. I'm planning on posting some video soon if all goes well.

Thank you! Your Camaro looks great!

Awesome car! That gravel driveway makes me cry for detailing it!

Vince@Meanstreets 11-01-2015 04:51 PM

That came out great Casey. Now I'd love to see it in action. I love how the car came out subtle, without popping the hood you would not guess track or street fighter. Just the right amout of stock and business race. No crazy tin or tubing showing. Excellent execution.

Barnburner 11-02-2015 01:15 PM

Car looks great! Who did you have do your interior?

Jon69RagTop 11-02-2015 04:01 PM

This car is off the charts

Compliments on the choice in color, this car looks soo fantastic.

lsuguy 11-03-2015 07:15 AM

Great looking build. I have been watching this one come together. That color combo is great.

Do you have any close up photos of the radiator connections? I may borrow the idea of using AN fittings when I have AutoRad make my Radiator.

cwylie 11-03-2015 09:50 AM

Car looks great. What headlights are those?

SBDave 03-22-2016 11:54 AM

Your car popped up on my IG again, any updates? Been driving it?

Dave

Perfect blend of race and street - easily one of the best builds here

Thank you. I personally wouldn't recommend them because of the price actually.

The last year or so has gone by really fast. The car is now complete and I was able to make it to a few shows this summer. The reception of the car has gone over quite well with many people taking interest in the car and giving my dad and I positive comments. I was also fortunate enough to be chosen to receive an editors choice award from Power and Performance News at the Street Machine Summer Nationals show. I was given a very well made metal plaque that is incredibly nice. I was also fortunate to finish fairly well in two different autocross events I attempted. The car worked very well right out of the box and only needed minor shock adjustments to be competitive with other people who have been running autocross for many years. The car also put down 531 rear wheel horsepower on the dyno at one of the shows, which I was pleased with. I added a few photos from this summer so far. At the end of August the car will be going to California to compete in a Super Chevy Magazine muscle car challenge. The car will be driven by Jeff Schwartz in the competition. I'm sure it will be a fun event to witness.

Casey,

Did you get your fuel pump issues figured out yet?
If not, let me know if you need any help.

Hey Brandon, I was going to contact you to let you know the status. I ended up finding a new tank that is the same dimensions as the one I had. It has a sump already built into it, which will save all of the hassle and extra time and effort. I am switching everything over to Magnafuel. I'll definitely let you know if I need anything tig welded. It was nice talking to you at the events. I'm sure I'll see you around somewhere if I don't stop by your shop sometime in the near future.

WSSix 07-24-2016 06:05 PM

Congrats on the Editor's Choice! Also glad to hear you've been able to get out there and enjoy the car this summer.

SBDave 07-25-2016 02:35 PM

Very cool!

frankv11 07-25-2016 03:16 PM

One of my favorites .

redfire69 08-16-2016 11:39 AM

Awesome Beast! Quick question, do you recall what pound springs/shocks you're using on your hood hinges?
