A friend of mine always said: "an exhaust should be heard, and not seen"
|
I always thought that was children... :sieg:
Wait... that was seen and not heard. Carry on... |
A few updates:
a bit of custom dash work happening... http://i122.photobucket.com/albums/o...psyebdpyf8.jpg http://i122.photobucket.com/albums/o...psrsied6pg.jpg http://i122.photobucket.com/albums/o...pse1ycqxoh.jpg Also custom built a pretty cool reservoir tank http://i122.photobucket.com/albums/o...psmtaxs4tm.jpg http://i122.photobucket.com/albums/o...pszrsrwm1f.jpg |

Looking good. Always loved the '67 model.
What was the source for the tank filler bung and cap? Been half looking for that design with no luck. Thanks! |

Figured id post a few updates:
We got a good bit of dash work happening, im not a big fan of dash pads and i wanted the newer look for the car. So why not leather wrap the whole dash! http://i122.photobucket.com/albums/o...ps6lhjyh1p.jpg http://i122.photobucket.com/albums/o...psrip6hjpr.jpg |
So shes coming back together...
http://i122.photobucket.com/albums/o...pserha31yp.jpg http://i122.photobucket.com/albums/o...pslqvtnifr.jpg We need to add the Vintage air Defrost vents, but shes wrapped! http://i122.photobucket.com/albums/o...ps06ego5zg.jpg |
On too the next issue, I really wanted to keep the GTO seat headrest in the rear. So we had to create some clearance.
http://i122.photobucket.com/albums/o...pss0meofym.jpg Good by package tray! http://i122.photobucket.com/albums/o...psaqss8evg.jpg It created a nice lean to the back seat, and helped them clear the bottom of the rear window. http://i122.photobucket.com/albums/o...pszc3oexrf.jpg |
Those seats look good in there

Did I see correctly you're going with an 8.2 10-bolt rear end? Can you tell me some more about what you did to that unit? The car looks great so far, killer work!...cheers

Thanks for the info Vince...again great work.I've heard as well as read that the 8.2 wasn't worth building when compared to it's 8.5 big brother but with all the updated internals I'd guess it's a tough enough unit when done right...I have two 8.2 units in my garage which is why I was asking...thx

Yeah they are ok stock, better if upgraded. I would not use them for drag racing. From what I have killed in the past the weak points are the pinions and axles. Fix those two deals and you are golden. When ever someone tells me they suck I just say "yeah, but they are lighter". |
Have not posted in a while, figured id circle back with updates...
Flush mount bumpers (working on the front and rear in fiberglass) http://i122.photobucket.com/albums/o...psfmwcyhvx.jpg http://i122.photobucket.com/albums/o...ps1c6ncwpf.jpg |
Also were working on cut outs to replace the door handles that light up on approach of the vehicle with the Digital guard dawg key less entry system.
http://i122.photobucket.com/albums/o...psdmqktb8k.jpg Here's a video of it in action..... http://vid122.photobucket.com/albums...ps9rkiugsb.mp4 |

It looks like a nice set up, how close do you get to it before it lights up?

I talked with dakota digital about my dash as i was not happy with the silver and red theme. they changed the dash to black with led white lettering and red pointers. Looks much better!
