Why you guys would screw with the jetting on that Tony Oddo built carb is beyond me. Tony built the engine and carb together. He told me don't screw with anything. :G-Dub:

Because you sold me a LEMON POS.... and the fact that the Pressure regulator took a dump -- having nothing to do with Tony Oddo..... but the carb/motor combo found it difficult to run with 14 psi of fuel puking past the seats and flooding the motor. NOBODY EVER SAID we screwed with the jetting --- which wasn't touched. The float level was adjusted in an effort to keep the pig of a motor running so I could make it out to the track.

Sorry to hear about the car Greg. Hope you get it sorted out asap.

I plan on running T-Hill with you guys in mid October (17th ish?), right after driving home from the G-Guys Texas road trip....Got the roll bar back half in, waiting on custome door panels for the down bars, but i 'll feel a lot more comfortable having a roll bar and harness at the trac as opposed to just a seat belt....till then, keep it sunny side up:topic:

Thanks for the warning.... I'll remember to bring plenty of ammo.

GregWeld 08-06-2014 06:53 AM

So I know we "spar" about passing and lap times and on and on... it's all good fun.

The thing I think about when everyone on here is spending big dough to have huge horsey power - and the latest in fat tires... and the most awesome clutch in the history of the universe.... is --- I bought this Lotus for 60 grand... and spent another 10 or so grand on getting it race worthy... so about 1/3rd to a half of what building a Camaro runs these days... and other than change oil between events all you do to drive this car is set the tire pressures. Yes -- there's some passing going on in this short video. This little POS car makes it appear as though the others in the group are applying brakes on the straights...LOL

The first 'Vette is a ZR1 that is tracked regularly and you've seen it fly by the Mustang in other videos.

Sieg 08-06-2014 08:11 AM

........and it uses 8-9 gallons of 92 octane for the entire day.

FINALLY SOMEONE IS CATCHING ON!!!

Panteracer 08-06-2014 03:28 PM

Norcal Shelby

Looks like I missed a great day at Mini Nats
Gaetano... wondering how many times you passed
that white Fox Bodied #9 Mustang.. one of my buddies
Dave Murry and he is really fast.. chases the Winston
cup cars....I don't think he watched track junky pulling away:)

I hope to bring the Pantera to Thunderhill in October
Checkered flag (started by Pantera owners) is running
on the Monday afterwards so I may hit Sunday to learn
the new track as my buddy Viper boy has already been
there once so I don't want to give him too much of an
edge. It would be great to hang out with you guys.. try
not to break anything

Pantera has been a pain lately..going to the Italiano show
in Monterey next week and it seems to not like car shows
Burned the rotor up one week.. on the hook home and running
an hour later.. then on fire the next week.. blew an oil cooler line
but it burned mostly oil on the headers that set the air cleaner
on fire and killed the motor.. two squirts with the Fire Extinquisher
and it was out.. what a mess to clean up. it is still dripping oil
out of the frame rails..

All good now and new lines.. thinking about that suppression
system I never put on the car

Panteracer

Track Junky 08-06-2014 04:36 PM

That's funny. He was my biggest competitor. Stayed on my tail but could not ever get around me lap after lap. I'll post some pics.
It would be great to chat with him. If you talk to him can you find out his lap times. I think I was a bit faster but not by much.

Bob --- I think it's a thing with FORD motors.... None of my Chevrolet stuff breaks.

Sorry to hear of the foibles! And would love to see ya in October! Hope the Ferd will be done but if not I'll run the little 1.8 liter Loti - it kicks ass on Fords and Chevy's.

I can see why the white car couldn't get around, the jack ass in the orange car would give him a point by. :action-smiley-027:

Who else thinks there's a guy in white mustang posting on some forum saying "there was this asshat in an orange 69 Camaro who thought he was Dale Jr and just would not let me pass all day no matter how close I got to his bumper."

He's thinking it...

With Weld, it was probably like the little old lady you can't see from behind. You look over when you pass and there is someone driving..
