THANK YOU!!! I really like the belly pans too!!!

https://lateral-g.net/forums/atta...4&d=1197003706

Have i understood right at this works as an diffuser too ?

Can you tell us how is it done in the "front" side = edge close to rear axle ?

I would like to know is it welded on the trunkfloor or what not to "bite" air too much at the high speed or what ? I know this is wierd question but i see how to mount it at the rear part of the car but how at front ???????

Yes it will help with air flow since the air wont be hitting the tank. As for the "front" of the diffuser -close to the axle- It is all completely welded to form a sealed box around the tank. So if you look at it from any angle you wont see any exposed unfinished edges. Its even tied into the rear inner tubs and welded to the trunk floor.

I've seen the car many times and it's more impressive every time i see it.

CRCRFT78 12-07-2007 08:32 PM

Notorious.....that is a phenomenal take on the front and rear fascia of that Nova. To change something that drastic and avoid it looking too different or too goudy takes a true designers vision. Only someone with a pure car designers eye can pull off stuff like that. And it's obvious that Troy has it. I'm too lazy to go back over the entire thread but can you tell me if the car has been mini-tubbed and if so are those the wheels that you're going with that I see in the pictures?

First of all thanks for the comments on the car. The car has been mini-tubbed. It was one of the first things that was done. The wheels that are seen in the pictures are not the wheels being used. They were made quickly from billet specialities to check the look and the backspacing.

Heres a couple picts I took today at the shop. Both are of the belly pan and exhaust. I also took a quick ridler picture as well.

I picked up one of those blowfish dvds and I can say that its pretty awesome. They run it on a dyno and it sounds soo wicked! Def. check that out.
Peace.

XcYZ 12-12-2007 06:08 PM

Interior...Tracy Weaver

Troy informed us that Tracy Weaver will be doing the interior. I have heard all good things about his work and we look forward to working with him. Troy has some great ideas lined up for the interior of notorious!

customcam 12-12-2007 07:40 PM

Thanks for sharing this amazing build with us all
Cant wait to see the engine bay :hail:

syborg tt 12-13-2007 07:34 AM

Garage Dog 65 12-13-2007 08:06 AM

THANKS for the Belly pictures ! (eew, that sounds disgusting ... sorry for the visual)

Can you share the design plans for the interior ? A stock concept, a high end stock deal - or something totally custom - Or are you even to that point yet.

Either way, you're in good hands and Rads and Tracy will deliver a stunning finished product !

Racepack and a big ole tach. I would say something to the likes of the fastforward fastback and the sickfish interior. We want to keep it old school without going way full custom. To me when you put too modern an interior in these old cars, it looks wrong. You'll see for instance on our dash, even though its all fully built up, the old stuff was really rough and weak. The new dash has nova characteristics (very tall and short width) but other small tweaks to make it go with the rest of the car. Whatever they come up with will be bitchin.

COYBILT 12-13-2007 11:00 PM

car is NUTS thats all I can say about it. I read the thread from the 1st to last page. Its just amazing and well good luck with the car. :hail:

CRCRFT78 12-21-2007 09:49 PM

I can't wait to see this thing when its finished. Going to be one of the baddest Novas EVER. I'm almost afraid to see color on it. The bare metal is perfect. It just yells that its coming to kick some @$$.

Same here, well said. Did someone say Joe Rogan original sick fish paint scheme??? Could be a possibility.

Exhaust is all finished up and now I heard that Procharger has stepped in with one of their superchargers which is awesome. Work has started on a killer engine bay.

I wont be able to get any new pics up until after new years but check the rad rides site for updates.

LMAO those guys need to get out more. I could only imagine what they think of all the other nicely done Novas out there that aren't period correct looking. Their mindset is period correct for not moving forward with the times and technology. To each his own, keep the build going, BAD@$$ is all I have to say about your Nova.

Hdesign 12-22-2007 07:40 PM

Don't get discouraged Derek, when the purists on Steve's first saw my rendering with the shrunken bumpers, lower valence, big wheels, low stance, fender vents and overall smoother look a few years ago, many could only muster a compliment on the quality of the rendering but "somewhat" avoided making critical comments like "chopping up" a perfectly good Nova.

Forget 'em! You cannot possibly make EVERYONE happy. Just worry about yourself and how excited you and your dad will be to have it in the garage and driving around in a Troy built car! Keep your eye on the prize!

bucks69 12-22-2007 08:16 PM

Man that just ticks me off. Everyone is entitled to their own opinion but that bunch needs to keep their piehole shut. Not one of those guys have anything that could even come close to the peice of art you will have in the end. Screw those guys and keep rocking on it, I think its too cool.

NOVA 12-23-2007 09:11 PM

Strap some on ....

Some of Them guys need to pull there ball's outta there momma's purse ....

There's plenty of Nova's on the street to where ONE cannot be the sacrificial lamb and made real bitchin, unique and flat out cool! not like there cuttin up a numbers matching original 63 split window owned by Kennedy with 12 miles on it.

Remember the 50's when builders such as Winfield,Watson and Barris used parts from other cars all the time, different bumpers, headlight assemblies, trim etc.

This Nova will do more for Nova's then any other Nova on the street today.....Ive had mine for over 20 years, glad to have it, specially Now.

We're going to be shooting some video on this car on Friday at Rad Rides... we'll be on the road, so you'll have to wait until next week to see it, but we'll let you know when it posts. Anything in particular anyone wants to see? Questions?
