Yeah. He got totally screwed. Lost thousands of dollars in tools.

That shop was a mess. He was there for 6 months, got one check. Was suppose to get commissions on work he brought in but it never happened. He had all the right intentions, they needed a shop Manager and he was good at it. He brought in more than a dozen new jobs but didn't get paid.

I've heard all kinds of crazy stories.

If there is anyone interested in my car please let me know. Kaiser in Hayward is closing their Pediatric dept and my wife is one of the 20 unlucky people who is getting laid off. Losing a six figure job hurts especially when she was the main source of our income.

If interested please contact Chris @ West Coast Autocraft in Cloverdale, CA. I can PM you his contact info.

I would prefer a local buyer so he can still use the car in his booth at car shows.

Don't know you personally but followed your build.
Sorry to hear the bad news. I hope everything works out for the best.

Thanks Frank. Hopefully she will get hired somewhere before someone wants my car.

Sorry to hear the news

Hi John,

Sorry to hear that news for your wife. That really sucks.

The good news is there are some good pediatric hospitals in the Bay Area, especially in the South Bay and on the Peninsula, both aren't a long of a commute from the East Bay. I've known a few nurses that worked independent when times are hard, picking up several shifts a week, usually out of the area, then find something local and permanent later. Hope your wife can keep it going until something permanent comes up close to home.

I can't believe the story about your car. Can anything else over the top happen with that car?

Sorry to hear the news.

I hope you at least get to drive the car a few times before it sells. I can't wait to see it driving around Pleasanton Nov 9th.

Have you had any offers to date?

What is the condition of the car "running and driving" or still in the build stage?

What ever Happened with this car?

Yes but he is redoing a lot of the previous work. It is 99% done and should be at GG in March.
