Does Chassisworks make a kit specific to the 67? I know that DSE doesn't make a kit specific to the 67.

Just got off the phone with Chassisworks and there is NO specific kit for the 67 Camaro ... that would have been nice to know before I ordered the kit w/ close outs that I don't need.

The rep on the phone said I was the only one to report that it didn't fit 67 Camaro's .....uhhhh?

The last sales rep that tried to pull that BS on me got ripped. I get so sick and tired of hearing these reps say that I'm the only one to ever report such an issue. Nonetheless, you can still use the kit. You will just have to modify the one closeout for that side and add a small strip of metal to the tub. You can look back through my thread and see where I did all that.

Can you copy the one from the other side, or is it different?

I know I'm not the only one to work on a 67 Camaro, right? I'll look thru your thread.

I think I can copy the other side, just don't want to use the close outs now cuz then I can't return them .... cuz they charge you extra for the stamped close outs.

Now I'm pissed

What the Halibut? Really ... Chassisworks can't even get a mini tub correct:hairpullout:

Take a look and see for yourself, (sorry for the really big pixs) I marked at 2" and folded over @ 2.75" and had to cut up over the shock tower and floor pan at 2.75" (too many layers to fold and the rail in way).

Something doesn't look right!

Can you see the 2" mark and where I bent the flange @ 2.75!

This is the measurement I took BEFORE 9.25 + 2.75 = 12 RIGHT?

All is clamped right!

I measured the pass side and it's the same ... not gonna be good!

If the is a Chassisworks rep reading this I would like some answers .... please reply.

Should have just ordered from DSE :hairpullout:

that really sucks, sounded great having a kit with closeout patterns,I did not see the price of the Chassisworks but DSE parts are expensive but have great quality

waynieZ 04-28-2013 03:42 PM

Sorry to hear this.

Yeah it SUCKS .... the price is DSE plus $50.00 for the closeouts + shipping. I have to make my own close out panel anyway - nothing for a 67 Camaro!

Thanks ... I'm working w/ Chassisworks to see what went wrong with the tubs .....I'm the first one to say something? We'll see how the customer service rates :popcorn2:, meantime I don't have mini tubs installed :bang:

Mini Update

Chris Alston Sr. of Chassisworks called today to figure out my mini tub issue... that was cool and excellent customer service.

We decided to wait til my outer wheel houses come to see where everything lines up with my car, if I want to return them he's OK with that,
or we can see about making them work. He hadn't worked on a non-staggered shock Camaro and didn't know about the closeouts
not fitting .... does now!

Chris also offered to make my closeouts for my Camaro if I send him a scanned jpg of what I need.... A+++++ rating from me.

So,I'll wait til my outer wheel houses come in and go from there, back on to the roof issues.
..:popcorn2:

Oh yeah, it is snowing again (10" so far) on the first day of May, should be upwards of 50 by the weekend, that's good enough to work in the garage.
