I think the aspect of this build that is so cool is the fact you have someone with the ability and the drive to tackle aspects like this. Most guys keeping those spring pockets in their camaro would never invest the time it takes to build those. I bet Jason has 10 -20 hours in just the one side he has done. In the real world that is $750-$1500 per spring pocket. Thats some coin. And unless a guy truely understands the effort it takes to build these kinds of details it is rarely happen in this industry. Very rarely does someone have the spare time or the funds to truely see something like this come together. I have had one customer in ten years that enjoys these details and understands and pays the money to see these kind of details. I joked with Jason yesterday about what will come of these parts more then just a powder coated jack point on the car. And he just laugh because he did these details because he can and enjoys the build probably more then the end result.
Jason if you don't send the car to paint soon. You will wind up changing things you already built and were at one time happy with. |

Hey Jason, what do you finish your metal with to get that clean uniformed look with no sanding marks? Do you go to a finer sandpaper or some type of scotch-brite?

Excellent Fab Work

I see you are using a lot of the Ironworks "Fabrication" spray again. This must be the new improved version of the spray as no one would be crazy enough (not even a former Hot Dog on a Stick mall employee) to make their own spring mounts. Can't wait to see what you do with the windshield wipers.

I think its great that Jason has the ability to do it himself in his garage while his wallet stays on the nightstand. Awesome build.... it just keeps getting better ! |
You should have seen the models he build as a kid:lol:

You nailed that one on the head. When the finished product looks simple and clean.... That means it was the hardest to pull off. I like to call it "Simple Difficult" |
Great work, any uprates?
