Three rounds of blocking on the passenger side, lines are really looking good. Drivers side is next, should be faster.

What was the final color decision?

Hasn't been one yet, still looking at browns. Jim will have to do a spray out first. Otherwise it'll be something safe like gray or blue. I really like Chips Cuda but I'm sure that's a custom color and may be too bright in the sun. The Cadillac has grey in it.

Who is Jim?

What's the background story on Jim? Seems to work on one car at a time in his own shop/booth and I've seen a couple of other cars he's done over the years so I can see why you took your car to him. Maybe he's super private or it's a well kept secret but I was just wondering who he is?

He's a great guy. He's a private guy. He's a talented guy. He works full time at a collision paint shop as the lead painter, and then takes on side jobs as he wants. I'm fortunate to have him as a friend.

Gotcha.

I remembered several 'browns' being considered but didn't know if you narrowed the options yet.

BMW, caddy, Nova

those are my choices, but, like it matters,

I do appreciate the feedback. And I agree on your choices. The Nova is the actual color I remember him saying the El Camino was, as he special ordered it in that color. In the picture above it's beautiful, but I've seen pics of that same exact car from other angles and the brown looks completely different. May just be the pics, probably should ask Charley as I think he's seen the car in person.

My safe choice right now is the BMW. Will be darker than I initially envisioned, but I think it'll look great.
