I'm not sure it had the two cars chained together while jumping, but there is a chase scene with a girl on the hood of a Challenger...GREAT STUFF

Mini update - she's back on the ground.

http://i885.photobucket.com/albums/a...ps073f01af.jpg

Wiring up the dash continues. The VA combo heat/defrost unit comes with a cheapo plastic control panel. Na-ahh I say, so BoS takes the guts out and mates it to their billet AC control panel. Still working on getting the billet knobs on the panel. More on that later...

Rob, I'm pretty sure that was Ron's old car. I think the new one has the same paint scheme, but 90 percent of the parts on the new one are different though.

Ron in SoCal 10-09-2013 11:06 PM

It's a 'work in progress' Matt. I'm sure you understand :D

That's what worries me.

I changed engines (twice), transmission (once) front wheel offesets and widths twice, bumpers, spoilers, fenders, hood, master cylinders, pedals, brakes, steering wheel, shocks (twice) springs and sway bars about a thousand times and have a wash bay full of tires Gregg and I have tried out.

Either you are much more efficient at this than I am, having changed everything already, or you could potentially be far worse than me. I'm looking forward to finding out the answer soon!

I hate to see Muttstang on Muttstang owner discord.

Next it will be Torino vs Torino owner.

Just making my monthly foray into Ron's thread and checking for the obligatory burnout vid..... Alas, :shakehead: foiled again.

Someone wanted to trade me a trailblazer SS for my daily driver Spec b yesterday and I found a video to share while everyone's waiting.

Ron, Do you have any pics of this steering arm? How did you arrive at the proper location for tie rod end? Did you just lower it 3/4" to account for the drop? I know wheel sizes are in here some where, but did it all package inside an 18" wheel without issue?

......and we need an update.

Hey Donnie! I'm outta town and will hunt up or take some pics for you next week.

Exactly. Put in the same location as the original and accounted for the higher mount points on the spindle. AME places the rod ends a little forward of the rack centerline to improve Ackerman. I have not tested for any bumpsteer yet but I will soon.

I know wheel sizes are in here some where, but did it all package inside an 18" wheel without issue?

Yep. Same location created no new issues.

......and we need an update.

Thx for asking Bro. I'm heading down next Friday with glass and body panels. The rollbar and other little bits should've been painted, and the dash will get finish wired. The punchlist is about 10 items long, not including one more fab item we'll get to after interior. Oh, and it's time to mount the seats. Matt's gonna be my body double...:D
