Updates coming next week, I think :goggles:

Ahhh, finish work. Stopped by BoS today for a final punchlist, parts inventory (I hope).

Nice to see the front grill mocked up again.

Side glass is in. I was worried about door to quarter window seam, but it came out perfect!

Rear bumper is painted and installed.

Very happy with the bumper mods. Thank you Brett and BoS!

Of course we fired the motor again and gave it a good 3.5k rev. My buddy Tom was there and said it sounded like a Nascar motor. :D

We have a little clutch master issue to sort and this thing should be driving. Punch list above is about 20 items long, some of which are 10 minutes and some are a few hours.

Thanks Matt and CRob for coming down too! Always great to see you guys

:peepwall: So it's done ?
:peepwall: How did it drive?
:peepwall: Are the wheels for sale yet?:underchair:

:headscratch: I might be starting to believe this car will run before mine

:y0!: I'm packed and ready to man the I phone. :excited:

Time for the parking lot test video. :popcorn2:

Can't be 100% sure from that photo but it looks like you were emulating a chrome bumper ? What process was used to paint it, looks like it came out pretty good. I'm researching all the possibilities to get my fiberglass bumpers as close to a chrome finish as possible.

Matt@BOS 11-30-2013 06:04 PM

Preston, it must just be the pictures, the bumper was painted body color.

After hearing Ron's list, I think the car might actually be done sooner than everyone thinks. Everyone has been saying Tuesday, but I think Monday is possible. :D

Pres, the lighting and iPhone pic makes it look much lighter. There is a very very slight difference in the color (I think) and that's due to the waterbourne paint used on the bumper.

Interesting thought on FG -> chrome look. I'm not an expert, but I think a 'chrome' wrap is the easiest way to get there. Can you powdercoat FG? If so, there's some nice polished aluminum finishes that sorta come close. Not perfect for sure, but I'm guessing you're not building a show car. If it were metal you'd have alot more choices.

Hey Raj, I got that kit from Frank at Prodigy many moons ago. I'm not sure who he sourced it from (I can check the box) but Mike @ Musclerodz seems to be the glass guru these days.

You gonna talk your wife into letting you go on a road trip with Ryan in Feb?

Hope you're doing well Bro!

Slow and informal for right now. Which is good for this time of year. I have a lot of things pulling me in different directions. I'm working on some small things for 2 local clients. You may see them show up out there. They have names in the industry. I can't say until they agree. I want to do it right and not sink before I start swimming. Thanks for asking! When I get things rolling a bit more, I will hopefully be a site vendor.

Thanks Ron -- That’s the same kit I have.

Lol -- I wish I could convince the wife into "letting" me do that but I don't think that’s in the cards this year! And considering you gave me shock envy and I got convinced to change mine out I don't think this Feb is in the cards!

Goodguys Puyallup in 2014 (Yes Lenie, weather permitting I will be there!) and out to you the next year

Finally got to see and hear this ride in person this weekend at BOS. Stunning build. Love everything about it. Even more fun to see is the enormous ear-to-ear smile on Ron's face when he fired it up. Sounded very potent.

You're getting very close now my friend.

WM, first thank you for your service to our country. :flag2:

I'm following your thread and think it's great that you're doing a project with your daughter. I hope to do something similar with mine one day also (she wants to drive, she's gotta learn how to wrench instead of complain about how long it takes me, lol). Appreciate the comments too!

Friends? Here?? Yeah, they're ok... :underchair:
