You know pro-jackstand cars are also susceptible to undergoing yearly, sometimes quarterly tear downs.

And I speak from experience as the guy who just junked his fiberglass GT350r front end that had a good amount of work put into it.

Mattman --- That's why I always refer to what we do as a HOBBY.... it is just that. If someone doesn't enjoy upgrading - changing - rebuilding (whether they do the work or pay someone else) - they should just find something else to do.

The fun is staying relevant - dreaming and scheming - hunting and gathering....

Hey Matt. Pretty impressive project. I'm excited to see the rest of the build. I'm working on a basic 66 mustang for a friend and he's giving it to his daughter. It's a 6 cylinder/auto car that's needs some love. You happen to have or know of any spare parts? Are you going to Goodguys Scottsdale? Paul and I are headed there minus the women this time. Hopefully we'll get to work the camaro over some.

Thanks, Cal.

Hey Cal, I just signed up for Jimi Day's Laguna Seca event that same weekend. If you and Paul have the time you should look into signing up for that one instead of Good Guys Scottsdale. I know it is a bit of a drive, but it should have plenty of seat time with autocross, speed stop, cruise, road course and plenty of good people, or maybe I should just call them the usual suspects.

Matt ---- I'll have "Da Rig" at Laguna Seca that weekend for the USCA event. I'm going to pick up the RideTech Camaro and haul it off to the GoodGuys Fort Worth Texas event (March 14/16) and then the following weekend (March 21/23) is the USCA Fort Worth (Texas Motor Speedway) event....

I'm looking to haul one other car (three car hauler) - Bret's Camaro - My '33 - and one other... to those Texas events and then return to California on my way back home.

I've asked Brian Hobaugh if he would like me to take his car -- or The Pozzi's... but as of now - I have an empty space. NO CHARGE by the way... I'm not commercial... I'm just doing it because I want to.

I LOVE THIS!! I have a 65 that will get built someday down the line and agree that the 65 R front end is overdone... This is greatness and your car looks like it's coming together well! Keep it up and posting pics!

Greg, that sounds like a fun tour you're going on! I'm supposed to go on a cross country road trip sometime in March. If I could just stop in Texas that weekend. Wait, that will never happen. I don't think I will be allowed to spend a whole weekend doing car stuff on the trip... Maybe I can plan to stop by for a day, although I doubt we will be doing much planning.

I will run in by Paul. I'm dropping the wife and kids off in Palm Springs
with Paula and then Paul and I are hooking up the trailer and going(somewhere). We may see you. If not, at some point I will pick your brain on some mustang parts for this car I'm working on.

Thanks, Cal.

Found out that depending on timing I might be able to make the event, although if I do it will probably be to cruise around on Friday. Wouldn't want to embarrass anyone on the autocross in a Ford Focus rental car. Was also asked if she needed to look and dress the part for a car event.

Anyway, here is a little more progress. Thinking about how much of a splitter I need for the front. I'm trying to keep the core part of the design timeless, and possibly have a few agressive looking race car parts that can bolt on and off.
