I sure did. They fit perfect. All business...1/4 inch plate with grade 8 bolts with nylon nuts.

Such a nice car Todd.
I'm with you. I'm not sure if I want to do the LSx engine or aluminum big block fuel injected. I was actually talking about that with Tony Rose last week and your car came up. Your car is pushing me towards the big block.
VERY NICE!

So is that a flat square plate that you bolt on that offsets the shock mount inboard? Any pictures unassembled? My lower shock mount is pretty close as well.

Thanks tone...I would love to have fuel injection. One of these days.

Ed...it's just 1/4 plate with rounded corners cut out of a water jet machine. I even had him cut the bolt holes with the water jet. Cost me under $30. The rear end housing is 1/8 plate. I'm not sure if it will effect the handling or have any other adverse effects yet. I do know that the stock setup will not work well in a racing or high load enviroment so you many as well change now. I really think it's axle end play that causes the issue now that I'm up to my eyes in brake pad knock back. It' really the easiest way to do it without any bind or a different length shock. I noticed the new G Link has the shocks mounted more vertical so that did give me the idea. I tried a set of mustand g bar lower shock mounts and the angle is off. I didn't snap any pictures before I mounted them. It moves the shock mount in 2". You could fabricate a new bracket that didn't move it in quiet as much but you would need to use a double sheer mount with a sleeve. I really don't think I'll experience any changes in ride or handling.

Todd,

I know you're not ready to switch over to EFI but have you looked into this system?

Cool, be nice to see how it handles with that plate on it. Should fix any rubbing issues. I'll have to put that on my todo list. Thanks Todd.

Ed...don't cut those rotors just yet.

I found my brake pad knock back problem. I have to say I'm a little dissapointed in Moser Engineering and Wilwood honestly. These guys are in bed together and their products should work together. I figured out that I have .020 clearance between by bearing retainer and bearing outside race. So the bearing and rotor are sliding back and forth .020 before any bearing flex. I'll add a shim behind the bearing and it will fix it. I am going to call Moser out on the carpet in the morning.

Won't handle my power...if I do it, it will be a hogan.

Todd,
Glad you got that figured out. And thanks for posting the solution for us.
I currently have the stock ten bolt in my 70 and was looking at stepping up to the unit you have. Maybe there will be a real "fix" from the manufacturer by the time I am ready for one.

I think it's important for us to share solutions with eachother. Building these bad mothers is one thing. Having the tenacity to make them perfect is another. It is truly a custom applicaton where a tweak here and there can make your next drive that much better. I can't wait to get this thing on the track with my new forgelines and a predictable brake. I am also speculating that my brake performance on the street will be better than ever.
