HAHA, wow....almost lost it after reading that. Personally, I go to the garage to get away from drama. There's nothing like the feeling you get from that micro-victory that takes you that much closer to completion....or "completion". American hotrod.....can't stand it. There's nothing there for me. It's like a show about a distributing company freaking out because their package isn't there yet except there's cars in the background. Wrecks to Riches was ok, except that somehow EVERY build was started 3 minutes before it went to auction. Then the boss would sit at his desk stressing that they wouldn't be done in time. Plus, all the before and after shots were done with a crappy star wipe that would just give you a glancing shot of a million angles. I don't want to just see a red car. I want slow shots from sick angles where I can pick out ideas for my own cars. I like American Musclecar for the oldschool footage and the history of the cars. That, to me, is very cool. Rides I enjoyed, especially the show on Hammer. Pimp my ride....no words to describe how funny that is. Who knew that every college student wanted a plasma in the trunk and a waterfall for a console. Pinks could be good, but there's way too much bickering.....and I just realized how long this post is, so I'll cut it here. I'm glad there's a wide range of car shows, but I don't want spoon fed mass appeal. I want popular hotrodding in widescreen with all the tricks and details highlighted and focused on.

I'm totally with you Scott!

I'd like to see a car show that really is a real show about building cars, with REAL guys and gals working on cool cars. Something like what probably many of use have experience first hand.

I know when I get together with my buds to work on cars or bikes - we laugh, loose some skin, scratch our heads, poke fun at one another, drink a few coldies, hopefully make some progress, and have a good time doing it all. We don't bitch about one another, we don't slam doors, stomp around, or throw tantrums. And I've never left the place crying. Okay.... maybe once, but that was only because I was laughing so damn hard.

If I want to watch an UNreality TV show about cars, then I'll watch American Body Shop. If you haven't seen it, it's like Reno-911 mixed with American Chopper.
