How about a modern looking 5 spoke such as the Boze Stinger in a satin center it looks like charcoal.
Lexus IS coupe medium grey is killer color. Maybe nickel plate the trim. Car would be killer even in the tan but will appeal to smaller crowd. Then again it is yours. |
I agree with Rob on the silver thing being overdone (to a point... it still is a great color) but the really dark gray/gunmetal/charcoal/whatever you want to call it looks killer and sinister in the dark, yet subdued in the sun - that's what I love about those really dark grays.
I vote #3. I think the modern-looking 10 spokes fit the car with that uber-modern motor under the hood! #3, Jody !!! :D Did Don get the LS motor in his 69 yet? Sell it yet? |
Number 3 all the way. And do something with that grille. You might find that the 45 year old "tin" grille is subconsciously adding to your indecision.
The following grille style on number 3 would seal the deal since it complements both the modern wheels AND your intercooler. Just make an insert. Leave the grille's perimeter alone. Should be an easy experiment for Carter Hickman to perform. Great work Carter. http://www.iimuchfabrication.com/New...20view%203.jpg |
I'm kinda partial to #1 and 3
Why not mix the two up silver top charcoal bottom with the 10 spokes:thumbsup: |
number 2 and 4 and well maybe 3.
Not a big fan of the EURO wheel look. |

I would say #1 if the grille was smoked or blacked out..
but #3 is an obvious winner. |
I like #3 but also like #4. To me the 10 spokes are more modern looking PT and the TT2s have more Bad A%% muscle look. I definitely like they darker color either way.

I liked 3 at first glance, but after looking some more, I like the contrast of #1 a little better. 1 it is for me. I know there's some talk of old school, but I would consider losing the door handles. Besides, that's becoming old school now anyway.

#3 looks Sweet Jody but to be honest that car would look awesome either color:thumbsup:
