The grill isn't bad, it is just the way it is painted. Besides the billet center with the two overlay bars, it looks stock. If you paint it back like it is suppose to be, it would probably look ok.

If the price of these things are low 100's, they will sell. What makes the Elanor clones is they carry a Shelby vin number. Camaros won't have that luxury.

I really like everything about the car. I was expecting it to be like the next riddler, but it's still cool.

While the Camaro is very nice I think we are missing something. If Chip Foose is suppose to be the “Man” and he certainly is very talented and makes unbelievable cars……we have some members here that can give him a run for his money.

We should be proud.

Yeah, because '69 Camaros have gone un-noticed for years :lolhit: :D :D

If you look at Kris' pic of the engine, the radiator still has a bar code sticker on it. Not only that but the Griffin radiator sticker isn't even on straight, details, details, details, oh & the tyre tread was dirty on the side shot. lol :)

To be honest it's probably a nice bit of kit, but because it has the Foose name attached people think it's the be all & end all, I'm sure that if the "name" wasn't attached to the car, the likes of Mark Steilows or Jodys' car would put it to shame, as would some of you other guys on this web site. :hail:

Call Unique if you want but i spoke with the president of the company so my prices i'm sure are accurate. The car might have seemed rough but they also told me of the difficulty they had getting the car ready and to the goodguys show. Is the car worth as much as they're asking? No. Could you build a car for less that is better? Easily. Will they sell every one they make without a problem? Definitly. These cars are trendy, rich people will be jump at the opportunity to own the car carrying the foose name and badging.

It's really hard for me to say anything positive or negative about it without seeing it first hand. From the pics I've seen on the Unique webpage and the ones Kris posted (thanks Kris) is that it's pretty cool but I agree, not 100k+ cool. Someone will pay whatever for because of Chip working on it. I think for 100K I'd rather have one of those nasty Super Snake Mustang fastbacks that Unique builds. In my opinion, not that I'm biased (...ok maybe a little) but I think once Tyler's 50/50 is completed, I think styling-wise it will raise the bar above that '69. It's ultra radical, it's gonna be killer fast, and I think for those building over-the-top Camaros this one will set the standard. I also think the regular guy may not want to drive something like that and the guys that like the classic "stock" looks of a Camaro won't get it but it'll be innovative for sure.
My initial reactions to first seeing the Foose 1969 Camaro - Pretty wicked! I'm a big fan of Foose. I like the paint scheme, and the Carbon. The extensions look like they are lower than the front of the car - if that's the case then I don't like that then. They look a little too add-on but not bad. I like the wheels. I think seeing it without a rear wing looks kinda cool-different. I'd like to see the interior. Hopefully it'll be out at the NSRA nats in Kentucky then I can take a looky. I still have yet to meet Chip and would like to very much. I'd like to flash a couple of my sketches past him to see what he thinks.

Anyways, this post got longer than I meant it to. I think all in all it's a pretty cool Camaro.

I think there are two different angles that we have to look at the car. You guys are all extremely knowledgable about true "g-machines", and judge the car on those qualities.

But who is buying these cars??? Why did people buy Eleanor? For its capabilites, or its looks? I may be making a generalization, but dont you think most people will buy the car purerly for looks? That is where I think the car lacks, from responses you have given I get the impression it is a true pro-touring car...but from a buyers standpoint...the Eleanor has the flash and look that makes money. I dont think this 69 does.

But we all have our opinions

I was thinking the same thing..all this will do is drive up the prices on 69 Camaros. It's the BJS (Barrett-Jackson Syndrom) every body with a beater 69 Camaro will think its worth $20,000. Its not bad i guess if you already own a 69 Maro.

Keep in mind this is NOT a Chip Foose BUILT car.. just a Foose designed car for a production line enviroment..

Not many on here will be winning Riddlers any time soon :)

As for this Camaro I would say several on here are nicer but this one can be ordered over the phone and delivered in 8 months.. The demographics for this car are rich people that don't know much about cars but want a cool musclecar that they can impress thier friends with.. the Foose name on it just adds to the "exclusivity"..

When you look at the car for what it is then it is a pretty nice car. My 69 could have beat this car at a show but my name is worth about a nickle and Fooses is worth about $50k ;)
