Very cool Rich, congrats...I would love to have that gem!!

What are you considering for front drive systems? What oil pan and motor mounts will you be using?

Thanks Anthony, Im staying with the stock ls7 dry sump pan its a perfect fit in the DSE subframe using DSE motor mounts.

Im really undecided on the accessories, but doing alot of research on the 066 and 067 stock GM drive systems. One is corvette stuff and the other is cadi cts-v stuff. They really are cost effective, certainly dont look the greatest but they work, perhaps a little powder coating can doll them up a bit. They both use a remote style ps reservoirs mounted fairly close to the pump. I just dont know how difficult it will be to plumb my hydroboost through the big bracket that supports the alt and ps pump. Other than that I do believe they will fit under the hood with no problems. Its also a no AC car so fitting the accessories isn't to much of a problem.

Souncs good! There's nothing wrong with using GM parts! And yes a little coating can certainly help with the looks...I'm dealing with the same thing as I'm using a stock LT1 bracket on my build.

When will you be installing the engine? Its a sweet package you have there.

As soon as Mike finishes painting the car, pick up for mid April. We will attach the subframe/rear at Mikes shop and bring it home to Jersey as a roller. Drive train and the rest of the car will be assembled in my shop(home garage).

Are you using a factory interior or something different?

67ragtp 03-22-2009 12:12 PM

DSE dash w/autometer ultralite 2s, recaro's or corbeau's, the rest factory, no console. moderate sound system and a stick shift. nothing to custom or fancy:thumbsup:
